My goal was to blend the financial services and technology aspects of your company into one symbol. The C and P make up an an abstract tree that denotes financial stability and the plus sign in the middle and outer ring making it look very technical, almost a piece of hardware and/or circuits of some kind. The color green blends itself to the financial sector while the blue balances it out with a technical vibe. The symbol works stacked on top of the company name or beside it for more horizontal applications. I look forward to your thoughts.

Thank you for this submission Cincytodd. It is very good but we are reqesting a few changes: Can we see it without the outer circle. Also, the + sign seems medical at first glance. Can you soften it by rounding the sharp corners, maybe also make it italic. In addition, the pale blue does not pop out enoguh. Can you try another color with the same boldness as the green. Maybe royal blue? Thanks.

I hope that I have not pushed these changes beyond the envelope but one change started another for me and so on. I am showing some of the progression here.

(1.1-A) I started by taking off the outer circle and used a plus sign which is a lot thinner than the one I had previously. I then matched the rounded edge on the C and P which then led me to change the font to match and selected bolder colors. (1.1-B) The symbol just looks really plain and naked so I added the outer circle back in but made it thinner to match the plus sign but it felt a little too far away... (1.1-C) So I put it all in a blue circle. Nice but needed something. (1.1-D) I then put back on the thin outer circle and it looks solid to me, a well balanced mark and the orange plus sign on blue makes it fade back a little bit so you notice the C and P in white first. The word "Plus" is in orange to match the plus sign and outer circle.

I like 1.1-D but am anxious to get your thoughts and feedback.

Thank you for your latest update cincytodd. We like your first draft better but like some of the changes you made on this update. Can we see the original draft with the new plus sign and the thinner ring around the cp tree? Also, go back to the green but change the light blue on the plus sign, ring and “Plus” portion of the name from the original to a blue similar to the medium blue of this link.

    W3Schools Color Test. Background=MediumBlue

Keep the original font for the name.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

Wow, your suggestions were very nice and thanks for pulling back the reigns on me. All I needed was some tweaking and tinkering to my original post and not the major overhaul I came back with. I really like the way it is looking now. I matched the weight of the outer ring with the plus sign for continuity and tied the color blue with "Plus" in the name. This symbol is flexible enough to be stacked vertically or used to the left for a horizontal configuration which is good for a lot of web applications as well as banners etc... Thoughts on this post?

Thank you cincytodd. After reviewing this new design, we can not get away from the plus sign reminding us of a medical or insurance company (think Blue Cross Blue Shield). Rather than changing the current design, can you switch from the plus sign theme and focus on a CPP theme making use of the three initials? The current font and colors are fine for our full name.

    Thanks.

Well I gave the plus sign a valiant effort but in the end I would agree with you that it dominated when it should not have. I went back to the drawing board needing to incorporate another P and feel that I have done that successfully. The outer C and P correspond with "Contract Partners" being green and the inner P is blue corresponds with "Plus". The other graphical element are the lines that fill in the space inside the C. When I was sketching I kept trying to come up with something that graphically said contract. When I thought of an actual contract I thought of pages and pages of copy, hence the lines which are my visual metaphor for the text on a contract. It also adds a dynamic element. How does my rationale work for you guys?

Thank you for your submission MAC. Since we first posted the request and received some feedback, we noticed the plus sign was reminding us of a medical or religious theme. We are trying to move away from that and go with our initials.

    Thanks.

I held out hope that I could make the plus sign work, what do you think? It is not overtly medical and not blatant like it was before.
