Hey, everyone.
Thank you very much for all of your entries. The vast majority of them are fantastic.
I haven't been on the contest forum these past few days because of some serious drama that I was completely unaware of. Unfortunately, some random guy on the internet found this contest, went over my head, and emailed the label head directly with his "submission." While I thought this was pretty slimy (why wouldn't he just join the site and enter the contest to make if fair for everyone?!), it's just my luck that both the head of the label and the lead singer of Anchored like that one the best. I've received a couple emails from various staff saying "We want this one. Make it happen."
We even responded and asked him to post his submisison here, but he--for some reason--never did.
I'm aware of how the rules around here work, so I'm going to sit on this for a day or so to see how things pan out (since the first submission, the mystery man hasn't responded to any emails).
If he does respond, then I know the protocol here and I will act accordingly.
I'm very sorry if this has upset anyone... I never saw this coming.

Basically, if a submission from outside our forum is accepted as the winning entry, the refund policy is null and void. What you could do is choose one of ours as a second design, to be used later for something....that way you still get a design for your money.

No, just a guy who happened to be lurking around the website.
I don't mean to make him sound like a slimeball or anything, it's just a tad frustrating that I set this contest up, entered into a contract to pay a member of this site, paid the money, and then was just completely bypassed.

Yeah, I know. I--personally--don't care for the mystery submission, so I'm pushing for them to pick a secondary one here.

That would be a slimeball in my book. Designers know how this stuff works and to by pass everyone else that is working on it isn't cool in my books.

Congrats to Coy - we're going to go with your second submission!
Thanks to everyone for submitting, and sorry for the somewhat bittersweet ending that kinda spoiled the contest.
Also, I'd like to give a nod to Render's 2nd submission. Even though we didn't go with it in the end, I'd just like you to know that I thought it was badass.
