Thanks for the feedback,
here's my revision, I choose another tone of greenish blue and I provided 2 versions for the logo; vertical and horizontal to fit all spaces :

Hi, my entry.
The icon is an abstract of unisex face from blooming plant. Signifies, fresh, newborn, and green living. The dots are for science, community and networking. Thanks.

I really like the revisions, but after hearing back from the group of dermatologists we are working with (the joys of design by committee!), they want to move away from any faces. They are worried that the logo will come across too "cosmetic-y". Colors and typeface are great though, I wouldn't change those. Sorry to have you work on the revision only to tell you we want to move in another direction.
I personally love it, but after hearing back from the group of dermatologists we are working with (the joys of design by committee!), they want to move away from any faces. They are worried that the logo will come across too "cosmetic-y".
However, I especially like the bold circle above the Washington State Dermatology Association, I feel that it would make an excellent impact on the back of a glossy business card, one of the other things we need to do with the logo.
It's a wonderful illustration, do you have any others that would work without a face?
Be sure and check out all the great designs in the Community Contests!
