Public school here as well and why I can't spell for crap. LOL
anyway a gradiant is where the color or shadow in this case, goes from dark to light or in effect dissapears into the background.
Since you are using vinyl on metal signage you'll want all solid color images w/ difining lines since that is the easiest and most economical way to make a sign.
gradiants or shadows can be done on vinyl. but it costs more since it's like printing on piece of clear or colored vinyl but it doesn't last as long as the other option.
hope that helps.![]()

Greg, look at the small version in the top right corner from previouse version (1.3). Can you see it clear?
People develope immunity to things that are too obvious that do anything to stand out. I think that the more subtle the message is the more attention it will get.
Here's the more obvious version
Thanks for this version. I believe this version reflects the letters as being outlined in black; is there a way to see how it would also look with black shadowing? One of the other submissions did the shadowing, and we like that look, and wanted to compare.
Sorry to get so detailed on this, but this logo and design will be used extensively for a long time, so we want to get it right the first time.
Thank you!
Greg
All:
We are thankful for the many submissions we have received. This has truly been an outstanding experience, and we are pleased (and amazed!) at the creativity you all possess. Thank you.
After much review and discussion, per the attached requirements (see below) we are pleased to announce as our selection and winner The Nutz. Daniel, please contact us per below at your convenience (I recognize the time difference) for finalization. We do have a small alteration request we'd like to look at, and need to discuss file formats for signage, letterhead, business cards, and everything else. (We admit an extreme lack of knowledge in this regard, and any help you can provide in this manner is greatly appreciated). My email contact address is GregoryPriest@aol.com
Again, our thanks to everyone for their efforts, creativity, and participation.
Best regards,
Greg
