Health Tech Solutions, Inc. Logo Contest - $100

    Contest Holder: bridgegap

    Deadline: August 7, 2004

    Prize: $100.00

Company Details: Company: My client is Health Tech Solutions, Inc. Function: Health Tech Solutions is a leading provider of sales, service, and repair of capital medical equipment (e.g, MRI, X-Ray) Idea: The company desires a modern logo. The company's focus is on sales and service rather than the equipment. Although it is perfectly acceptable to include product related materials in the logo, the CEO is looking to differentiate based on its personal service.

Examples: The company does not have a website at this time, but is in the process of designing one. There are no strong websites on the market that would be "best-of-breed" examples and the client is unable to provide any substantive examples of logos/designs he likes. Please see other help comments and suggestions below.

Colors: Open to anything, but the company has a tendency to appreciate maroon/burgandy, gold, and white.

Style: One that is modern and exudes an aura of professionalism, customer focused, service oriented, and dependable.

Comments: Recommendation on where to learn more: Search on "mri imaging services" in google and select some of the companies that are offering imaging services to patients to give you an idea of what types of logos are being used out there. One of the "hot" things in the industry are companies offering full body scans to clients that are independent of insurance....this is not what my client does, but these sites tend to have the most advanced designs for their marketing materials. As stated, unforutnately, there are no real good examples of sales and service companies of capital medical equipment out there. To learn more about the business, go to: www.amberusa.com to learn about selling of new and used capital medical equipment www.magnaserv.com to learn about selling and servicing capital medical equipment www.hcmixray.com to see one of the brands of xrays sold by my client.

This is my initial concept, after reviewing your included links. I feel that this image is reminiscent of the CT & MRI machines, without being too obvious. Thanks!

    All,

Still waiting to hear back from the client....he was a bit overwhelmed by the quality of the responses and wanted to show some of the ideas to colleagues, friends and family. I expect feedback tonight (EST).

    Excellent work,

    All,

Here is the feedback from the client. First, he is very pleased with all of the submissions and asked that I share the difficulty he is having with picking just one logo. It is important to note that, in his mind, a single logo does not stand out above the group that I am about to mention. This means that new ideas are welcomed by the client, so please keep thinking creatively.

The general feedback for all submissions is:

    1. Single color logos do not catch his eye as much as two/three color logos. I personally request that the developers, if using more than two colors in a logo, ultimately provide a printer freindly version if selected.

    2. My personal impression from my discussion with the client is that burgandy be the primary color. Interestingly, the blacks and blues just did not do it for him as primary colors. This is different than the original post which stated "open to anything".

    3. Would like to see options with a bit more visual depth.

Ok, that is the general feedback. Here are the logos the client expressed interest in during our meeting. After each name, I will put the post number (for those of you who have more than one submission), the submission number (for those of you who put more than one option within a submission), the general comment numbers from above (e.g., 1 = Single Color, 2 = Primary Color (e.g., provide other color options), 3 = Depth), and finally, any additional comments from the client that do not fall into the general comments.

    - lonely rabbit, #4, last option (with plus above the name), general feedback (1, 2, & 3)....the client liked the option, but definitely did not like the black.....he also commented that he wanted the logo to "pop" more, leading me to beleive it was too flat.

    - lonely rabbit, #7, all options, general feedback (1, 2, & 3)....specific comments are identical to previous submission.

    - jlinds72, #9, all options, general feedback (1, 2, & 3).....the client liked the color combinations, but stated that it appeared a "little washed out". the client really liked the loop at the end stating that it appeared to be similar to an mri tube.....again, i think he would like a bit more depth.

-originalvision, #11, all options, general feedback (1, 2, & 3)....the client liked this logo and all of the comments above apply here.

    - blazen, #12, the option, general feedback (1, 2, & 3)....the client was intrigued by the potential in the logo, but felt the person on the cross looked like it was being persecuted....he definitely wants to see this concept evolve.

    - rEnder, #15, all, general feedback (1, 2, & 3)....as with blazen's, the client was intrigued by the potential in the logo.....he immediately picked up on the "atomic" swirls in the logo.....but, he did feel that it was incomplete and would not be apparent to clients....when I probed, he couldn't give me specific feedback to help deliniate more for you....my impression was the concept was fundamentally strong, but new and daring variations of the idea were desired.

Ok, for the rest of you that I have not mentioned, kudos on some great ideas that simply didn't "do it" for this client. I hope you will continue to submit new concepts since the contest doesn't end until August 7th.

I will be happy to answer any questions in the forum and will continue to discuss new submissions with my client on an almost daily basis. My intention is to provide another round of feedback at this level on Monday.

    Thanks,

    BridgeGap
