    Direct Clarity Logo - $150

    Contest Holder: Raptorfish
    Contest: Direct Clarity Logo Design
Title: Business/Internet Consulting Firm Logo Design Contest
    Deadline: 8/16/04
    Prize: $150

Company Details: Our company name is Direct Clarity, LLC. We specialize in working with companies needing strategic planning, superior user experience design, measurable marketing and advertising activities, and efficient e-business performance. Rather than just websites, we produce award-winning Internet-driven solutions that solve specific business problems and ultimately increase efficiencies, drive results, and generate business. We have the best resources in project management, process engineering, Web development, marketing, advertising, business analytics, network security, and platform analysis. Our Mission is to grow our customers' businesses by providing innovative solutions. We are measured by the value we create for our clients and our company.

Examples: Here are some logos we think are attractive. http://www.logobee.com/samples.htm Logos 6, 15, 39, 54, 83, 93, 148, 153, 158, 190 all seem to stand out from the rest to us, and offer an icon that we can use separately from the words "direct clarity". Here is another idea that's pretty cool: http://www.verity.com/
Colors: We do not have specific colors in mind, but we do want a very professional color scheme. We want the logo colors to be soothing and inviting to look at, yet be complementary enough to stand out.
Style: We want a logo that will show a combination of business acumen and technological sophistication. The meaning of our name is basically to help our client from a state of confusion to a state of clarity. We want a logo that will also let us use an icon in our proposal materials, powerpoints, etc. (an icon that allows the person to identify us without necessarily spelling out the entire name of the company every time).

Comments: Please post questions as you have them. We will be glad to answer them.

    Good luck to everyone!

Ok, here is an updated version of what I had before (now deleted). Anyways, the only difference with this is that I added more depth to the actual drop of water.

    You're on to something here.

We like the concept and the font.
--Can you take the Icon and make it 3 dimensional while maintaining a clean look?
--Can you post an option with a 3d twist on the icon?
--Can you post on with a 3d effect with no twist?
--Can you add some binary-digital-high-tech, yet artistic effects?

    Thank you!

The guys at post #5 are onto something. Can you take a similar concept and make the icon a 3d image and add some binary effects?

I like your idea, here is my feedback, what if you were to take the "D" rotate it to the right and make the "D" three dimensional. ON the left side of the "D" the vertical straight space, place some binaray code, kind of like in the "matrix" I like the front of the "D", so keep that the same, I also like the font on the name. Maybe try a dark color blue. and a silver for the logo.

Hope this helps give you some ideas

Interesting concept. One we haven't thought of before. We like the symbolism because it denotes balance.

However, can you try something similar with a 3d object staying clear of basic shapes unless that shape adds to the symbolism (please stay away from elipses and big swoops). Also, you put some dots along the yin and yang. Can you change that to reflect a high-tech binary effect using the same yin and yang approach.

Finally, we liked post #5 in the way they used a symbol with our name and a tagline. Can you take off from that concept and merge yours with that one?

I'm not quite sure I undersatnd what you mean. Do you mean to keep it the way it looks now - only rotate it, make it 3-d and add "matrix" coedes?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, make the "D" 3-d and place the coedes, on the side of the D.

I came up with this idea while working on your requested modifications to the first. Then, I read the above. I'll go ahead and post it as my second entry because I like the design - maybe it will lead us somewhere. It has a 3D effect which you seem to appreciate while highlighting the word "clarity".

Feedback is appreciated. I'll continue working on your requested variants to post #5.

This is my 3rd and last submittal...live or die time...

This is what I came up with in trying to accomplish a "matrix" type motif as well as a 3D look. Also, this is about as visually complex as I would recommend - my opinion.

    In reference to Post #9,

While the depth added to the water droplet is a nice effect, we are not sure we like the water droplet look and are not sure how the water droplet helps to convey the image of our company helping clients emerge from a state of business chaos or indirection to a state of clarity and purpose.

We solve real business problems with business technology solutions so the look needs to be a combination of high-tech and business acumen. We hope you post something else.

    Thanks!

To OriginalVision on post #8, please see some of our comments above. While what you have posted is cool, it doesn't convey the image we want. We hope you take the feedback posted above and try something else.

    Good luck!
