Project details: A new, modern, pleasing site design for PigSkinGolf.com based on the images stored at www.pigskingolf.com/1.bmp, www.pigskingolf.com/2.bmp, www.pigskingolf.com/3.bmp, and/or www.pigskingolf.com/4.bmp. Her name (for purposes of web site) is “Ms. Birdie”. The colors of the site should follow the images and the image background (feel free to change or remove the background color of the images, though). Use one image or multiple images in the design - as you prefer. Note that we will need a home page design as well as a design for all other pages (see existing site). We would like to keep the logo somewhat similar to what it already looks like (as a font) but we are open to modifications to the way the site name looks (including color changes) to fit with the design. The content of the site will remain as you see it today, so please incorporate real content in your design, but feel free to change font face, color, size, spacing, etc. to fit your design. Note that we will need a design for the home page, and something similar that can be used for all other pages (see existing site). Also, we will need some space on the home page to advertise that there will be cash prizes.

No, we do not need coding - we have that end covered. We just need a design that tells sports fans that this is a fantasy-style game, but (as you can see) different from the standard fantasy football or fantasy golf... and an easy game to play. And it's very important that we let people know that there will be cash prizes this year!

Initial reaction: we like it a lot.

If we chose this design, we'd probably have you make some minor changes to the font for the Logo, but looking at the design overall, I think the important feedback is:

• "Golf" comes across well with Ms. Birdie's picture, but it needs to also get the "football" idea across more. People who are big fans of both football and golf are our target market. Football fanatics who know little about golf will still are also in the target market. Golf fanatics who know little about football are not so much in our target market. The yardage lines across the top and football in the lower right weren't readily apparent until I had looked at it too long.
• The Sign-Up area is too
  low. We want to minimize the chances that visitors would have to scroll to get to it.
• We have 3 types of leaderboards, so need a way to get to the other two types.
• "Cash Prizes" should stand out a little more. We really like what you did with the $ instead of an S, though!

I'm sorry, but this is not in the right direction.

The colors and pictures are really nice; the leaderboard looks good; and the placement of the login box is great.

However, football needs a presence.
- The site should talk depict football as much as, or even more than, it depicts golf.
- Also, your design is missing one of the key elements that we asked for, which is the mention of prize money. We think that by announcing cash prizes, we will significantly increase our membership this year, so we want that information to be very visible.
- Otherwise, the beauty of your design has created something that we feel is not functional. It doesn't give the user any indication as to which things are "clickable" and which are not. It also does not draw the visitors eye to the explanation about the site.

If I look at this site from across the room, I will think it's a site for a golf course - because the golf course picture is the focal point. The visitor needs to see, from across the room, that this is some sort of "fantasy football" game site where cash prizes are awarded. With your design, we believe people will say "that's a pretty girl on a pretty golf course" and click away because they don't know what they're looking at.

Wow. This is our favorite submission so far. You have excellent attention to detail, and it is apparent you really understand what the site needs to do and how the game works.

If we choose this design, we would make a few changes, but all very minor and nothing worth talking about right now.
