CONTEST ENDS AT 5:00PM CST TODAY, TUESDAY 9/14/04
Imaze, Shane, Frontend, rEnder:
Thanks for your work yesterday. I’ve placed specific comments below.
We’ll stop accepting submissions at 5:00pm CST today (6:00pm Eastern). I’m ecstatic with the work that everyone has done and it’s going to take some internal debate for us to declare a winner. Everyone should expect to hear from us within 10 days…hopefully sooner, but I can’t promise (we’re going to have to fight it out on this side).
Specific Comments:
Imaze: Thanks for trying something completely off the beaten path. I suspect that it’s a little too abstract for us, and I feel that butterflies are essentially owned by those folks at MSN these days, but I personally really like your rendering of the butterfly. I find the ink-blot look very appealing.
Shane: Thanks for the animation. I laughed when I saw the eye looking back and forth. Very clever.
Frontend: Thanks for both your revisions. I think the changes make a good impact and strengthen the concept.
rEnder: Welcome! Great ideas there. My only suggestion would be to make the keyhole a little more prominent since it’s likely the logo will be shrunk on the web page and appear only for a short time on the commericial. I think a little more emphasis on the key hole will help consumers register the entire logo as a lock.
Thanks for participating everyone!

Sorry last minute entry, havn't been around for a while but I had a little idea.
Cheers,
LG
We've selected Frontend as the logo winner. It kind of pains me to share this news because I believe that there were many very strong entries and could have been a few winners. I also know that many of you put some meaningful effort into your entries and want you to understand that I truly appreciate your work.
Thanks to everyone that entered the contest, including (and I hope I haven't missed anyone):
Arthouse, Browncat, Cookman, Creativemeasures, Daphne, Frontend, Imaze, Jenn, Julieta, Karlos, Logodoer, Lord Gandolf, Matt, Nonameface, Perry, Phacker, rEnder, Shane, and Will.
I really enjoyed working with all of you.
A group of us debated for some time on this and we’ve selected the Frontend submission in post #28 (reprinted below). We felt the logo was friendly and well weighted against the Real-Home-Worth type. We also believed that it would translate well in black and white print, low-res color web, and high-res color television/commercial.
It was not an easy decision; many of your entries were excellent and you should be proud to add them to your portfolios.
I’ll PM Frontend to coordinate the transition efforts.
We may have some new products launching in a month or so that require additional logo development and I hope you’ll considered entering again—perhaps even resubmitting the work you did on this contest!
Thanks for your hard work.
