Comments: This logo is for a fishing tournament located along the Gulf Coast of Alabama. The only fish in the tournament is a Speckled Trout' These saltwater fish typically range from 1 to 6 pounds, most keeper size fish are in the 2-3 pound range usually 20-24 inches. Hopefully this helps for scale purposes.

This tournament is for a local no-kill animal shelter. All the proceeds will be used to help prevent the authorization of dogs and cats. I have attached a link the shelter website for reference as well.

Looking for something clean and simple, tying the fish and dog angles together. Obviously no kill shelters are something I am very emotionally attached to, not sure if the logo can affix any happy emotion to 'Hound Portion' The BARC (Baldwin Animal Rescue Center) logo is an outline of a dog and cat, I am open to this logo trying to mesh with that theme or be a stand alone concept.

This fishing tournament is a fundraiser to keep dogs from being 'euthanized' not 'authorized'

I am very excited about this opportunity. We are expecting to raise several thousand dollars and have professional fishing guides who have donated thier time to be 'auctioned off' to fish with particpants in order to raise additional dollars.

As a bonus, To the winner of this contest, I will also be happy to send all materials from the tournament to the winner (T-shirt, business cards etc) and include any information about you like to have included in the ditty bags (business cards etc).

Please help me save dogs and cats in L.A. (Lower Alabama).

I like the director for H4H…not sure about the colors. We are along the Gulf Coast with lots of almost tropical colors due to our climate.

But of course I have not seen many tropical colored dogs and I know you were probably looking at the colors for BARC…

Is there a font that could look at little more ‘Fun’


I am really looking forward to more entires!!! This logo will have save dogs and cats from being 'put to sleep'!!

Not sure how best describe it, could the font maybe include some 'Paw-Prints' or Dog Tails, or maybe resemble a dog collar...just throwing out ideas

Also I think if a cork could be included would be huge...almost everyone in this tournament use a cork like this with a shrimp.

Maybe the cork vertically could be the 'O' in hounds and maybe two shrimp could form another 'o'???

I am extending the contest to APRIL 10TH!!!

I love the 'Paw' with the 4 in the logo...Can we incorporate a fish in the logo. Remember is should be a speckled trout. How about a cork, like the link I attached above.

Maybe the trout could go under the Hooks 4 Hounds?

I like your talents, although I think these is a little too cartoonish for fishermen for this tournament. Please read my other posts to try another concept. You obviously have the talent to come up with something great.

To Intrepid Guppy,

I like first concept much better than the second.

I would suggestest everyone to try to incorporate three things in the logo:

a Paw
A Speckled Trout
A Cork

Not sure where to lead you on the fonts, think of fishing, things line fishing rods are straight, fishing line is thin, fish have curves, maybe an 'o' can be a dog collar with a tag hanging off of it that has BARC" on it. I really like that idea, a collar for an 'O' with a tag that says 'BARC' since that is the rescue center....

I included the most essential elements for this logo, the "hook" and the "collar". I didn't feel like there needed to be much more added!
