Hey guys. Here is a logo I recently designed for someone's fantasy basketball team. His team is the San Diego Swordfish. Criticism is appreciated.
Hi! The wordmark is a little hard to read with that font and the tight kerning. For the icon itself - I think it's a good start, but you could make it more dynamic if you used heavier line and varied the width a little. It also seems a little wonky in the tail area. The proportions overall are perfect fit for a logo. It'd also be cool if you could tie the basketball in a little more though.
All in all, I'd say it's got a good mascot logo look

I agree with Jerct the lettering's a little hard to read and could probably be fixed by spacing it our more or making the letters wider. as for incorporating the basket ball more... how about spearing it on its "sword" ? Anyways its a nice start!

its a pretty good start. The swordfish looks a little unfinished. I think maybe adding some gradients and giving it a little depth might help it. Check out sportlogos.net for some really nice sport team logos for inspiration.
I also agree about the wording, try using a regular font that is not condensed.

Good work. The swordfish looks unfinished and I think letters are close so I suggest you to make the letters wider. Anyways its a nice start!
