    fun with flash

    hello,

i just made my first flash website--sort of. By that I mean it is not very extensive, because it was meant to be more of an experiment than a full-fledged website, and the content is a bit lacking. anyway, i'd like your feedback on what's there; chances are i won't be changing this one much, but i'll keep any suggestions in mind for my next (more permanent) project. thanks for your time!

I was trying to think of the name, then I remembered: Carl, from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. lol sigh, since i finally got that off my chest...

I like the simplicity and the bubblyness of the site. The jazz loop is whimsical and fits right it. Kinda like a children's story book come to life. You say it was just an experiment, I urge you to finish it to see the final product. You may have something here. The old school junction fonts fit nice as well.

The back button, however, how it appears on the sheep feels cluttered on the sheep. I'd maybe pull the button instance on flash to the side of the blue sky against the white. It would make for a more elegant design. Also a suggestion if you want to try it. When the button is pressed and the sheep goes up, you used a mask. It kinda cuts off rather sharp. Try creating a .png in photoshop with a tranparency background and a fade to white on top. Import it, then set that layer on top. That way when the sheep goes up, it'll be a nice smooth edge at top.

The jumping scene I like. It's cool and fun. Well, these are just some suggestions since you aren't really done with it. Looks very cool and promising. It's got me humming "doo ddum doo doo do dum" lol

The back button I'm reffering to is the one when you click on "about brandy" and the blue words "back" appear on the sheep. It would look hot if it was flushed to the left layed on the white. When it comes to the suggestion on the png, no problem looks cool

I like it I agree with sevenlee though about the back buttons. If you generally give it more room to move then it won't feel so tight. That also goes for the titles that overlap on the biography portion. Awesome work!

Why the sheep? It looks a bit childish... But I like the overall concept.

well, i am fairly young (not quite 21), i like sheep, and i thought it would be fun to go with a whimsical/childlike (childish?) approach. why not?

    Talking Shephard

I like the cartoon style and the simplicity of your design and concept. I was wondering if there was a way to make easier for the user to realize that his coat had rollover buttons on it. And I like the suggestion of putting in a back button.
