if you are an illustrator / graphic designer you should go all the way and get the cintiq its totally worth it. I started with a graphire 4 the smallest and when I upgraded my tablet became almost obsolete
It really depends on your needs(what you'll be using it for), budget, size preferences (do you usually draw big scale or small scale?), etc, etc..
but usually anything from Wacom is very good
The Cintiq is the best of the best but also very very expensive
If the tablet will be your main tool for making money, then the Cintiq is totally worth its price
I have a 6x8 Wacom Intuos 2 that I love - I bought it used for $100 on ebay. I've used the newer models, but found that this one does everything I need. I also prefer the 6x8 size over larger models...I feel like it takes up too much desk room. I wouldn't go any smaller either, though.
Basically - I'd recommend just finding a used Intuos.
Cintiqs are really nice, but I find that there can be a slight lag...just takes some getting used to, I guess. The other problem is their hefty price tags...I just can't justify it when I;m completely happy with my Intuos.
I also bought an Intuos off of ebay ... That's probably the best value out there. The Cintiq sounds amazing, but they are very expensive.
I also have a 6x8 Wacom Intuos 2 tablet, and I must say for the cost of it I would recommend getting one right away since it allows you so much more control over your artwork in both Illustrator and Photoshop. Its a must if you want to take your work to the next level![]()
Wait with buying a PC or laptop this year there are going to be allot of touchscreen computer released to you get can draw on your screen directly. Prices are not that high compared to normal pc. Drawing directly on a screen is recommended. I worked with a normal tablet but never like it because it too hard to draw the lines the way you want , allot of ctrl z. Now I have a tablet pc and feels more like drawing on paper because you can see better what you draw and can see better where you need to more your hand to. While with a tablet its allot of guess work.
Definitely the cintiq, man! model 21ux is the sh*t, but the smaller 12wx is well enough to make the cut! It may be a bit more expensive, but mine paid for itself. so very worth it!
Wacom intuos 3, a4 format wit airbrush!! Pro tool.
Allright guys-just got myself Wacom Bamboo to begin with and it kicks ass!!it's fun, easy and does exactly what i wanted it to do!
Thanks for all Your advice!
I like that stuff that Chung Dha was saying about , those screens that You can actually draw onto- that's propably next stop for me!
