My perspective on the economy

Here is how it's affected me so far this year: The first six months I did really well here in Denver. I made enough to live securely thought the rest of the year and beyond. This summer, however, I did notice a dramatic slowdown. Fortunately, as we head into fall, it seems to be about to pickup. Several clients have contacted me and asked me to set aside time in the next few weeks for projects.

What have the rest of you noticed about the recession and it's impact on freelance work?

Here in France, even after a year of the original downturn, the pick up is really slow. Not much work available to free lancers. I hope things get better in the first quarter of 2010.
