inspiring, thx
Really nice collection. Thanks.
Most of them are in black and white, and still manage to be recognizable and iconic. That's what a logo should be like. And that's not so easy to achieve.
some of these are awesome pictographs that should still be in use today... these are inspiring though~
lot's of inspiration. Nice 4 share![]()
Really nice collection
Great old stuff, thanks for sharing!
They have some kind of "style" to them that distinguishes them from modern logos but I can't explain what it is...
Wow we have come a long way. You can definitely see that computer graphics have taken logo design to a level way far and beyond these classic logos. However let us not forget that many timeless logos where done by hand and never saw a computer... Designers like Paul Rand did not have the luxury that we have today... This was a great find, thanks for sharing!

Designers are meant to be loved, not to be understood. — Fabien Barral
Yeah, thats true. In the creative process of finding the right idea for a logo, I never use a computer. I always draw it on the paper first. When I've got the basic idea then, I illustrate it in the graphic program and new variations and other ideas come to mind.
But for the initial process of the basic idea, I think the graphic program always has a kind of suggestive manner. It lets you do the same things over and over. In my opinion, the form and idea has to be independent from that influence and drawing is the most neutral medium of design.
Realy good stuff. Thanks!
This is a very cool collection, vintage style is my favorite one!
I notice that some of design have been reused by another brand, or you'll get some similar concept proposed by designers in logo contest communities.
Yes, not all of us ever see the book - or even see the logos around.
So, if you see something similar to one of these, is that just coincidence or plagiarism?
Very nice!
Need to order that book too looks like a cool inspiring book to add to my collection
