I have to admit that many times in the past, I was convinced to purchase certain products because of its funny advertisements. Funny print ads like the ones on the link spread out very quickly. People, especially those who find laughter a great need amidst their busy work schedule and family life, tend to discuss these types of ads with their friends to share the fun.
This approach is certainly brilliant and one that designers should find time to become skilled at.
