Do you know what style you might be wanting? Do you have a logo for your other products? If you do do you want this new logo to tie in with your other logos? Do you have certain colors and is there a color limit? One last question, do you have an idea as to the size the package/bottle might be?

    Thanks, Sharie

I guess I want the label to really stand out.....I think half the battle on selling sauces and rubs is to catch the consumers eye. I was thinking something with a down home, country or funny theme, or even little johnny being a cartoon like.I do not have any other products, this is my first venture into the world of retail. No certain colors or color limit, just has to catch the consumers eye. The bottles will hold approximately 8 oz of rub, round plastic bottles about 6 inches high. Label will probably cover 4-5 inches and will include a upc, ingredients list and manufacturers name, and probably a small personal message from me on the back. I also thought it might be nice to have a catchy phrase on it like Little Johnny got one right for a change or finally did something good.

What does it taste like? Care to show some samples of your competitors so we could differentiate better?

Rubs & Seasonings try this link for plenty of ideas. or http://www.swampsauce.com/onlinestore.htm Also the rub is sweet and spicy at the same time, very unique with a hint of citrus in it. Works very well on chicken especially and not bad on ribs either.

Close up of label center. I was also unsure if you wanted ingredient images like peppers and such

This is definitely a good start. I like the look so far but again I am thinking more along the lines of an actual Little Johnny like in the old jokes. He never gets anything right but finally he got something right, mainly this rub. What else can you come up with? I do like the rack of ribs and the chicken though.

I will look up little johnny, I'm sorry to say I have not seen or maybe not remember little johnny cartoon. I will research a bit and get a little johnny character (something more like him)

Do you like the font and do you want the character to hold the chicken and one more thing do you want ingredient images? If so what ones would you like to see on the label . The background color? Did you like this gradient or do you want plain or white?

    Thanks Sharie

http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...c7b6739bae.jpg try that for an idea, think little mischievious boys. Yeah the font fine not sure what you mean by gradient? Id like lots of bright colors to catch the consumers eye, so very little white. I hope what I am telling you helps.

is there any "catch" or something special we can incorporate into the lable image? Like some products are spicy or firey and they play off that theme. Like Sharie added the chile's giving the impression it's got a bit of a kick to it? or some may have a sweet fruity tast to it?
thanks I have the basis just need to add something to it. thanks

I'll toss the first draft up there and if you want/need any changes let me know.
used a cut out of my "little Johnny" as the upc symbol and figured a different font type would catch a consumers eye and look as if "little Johnny" had wrote it himself. LOL

Wow! Now we are getting somewhere. You people sure are talented. Is there anyway you could incorporate a palmetto tree on his shirt and the Letters SC on his Hat? Change the shirt and hat color to a garnet? I am from South Carolina and this is the Palmetto state. As far as the rub I use paprika, chiles, brown sugar, and orange and lemon peel in my rub with dashes of this and that to top it off.

Change the hair color to dark brown, and maybe a pig and a chicken somewhere. Sorry I am adding ideas as they come to me.

Ok thats looking better but can we change the color of the palmetto to something other than orange? and maybe take the sc off the hat and put another palmetto there. The SC is hard to see and I dont want anyone thinking it stands for the Univ of SC. Try white.
