    The Logo Canvas

    1. Download It
Elite Designers, please download the canvas here:
    DesignContest.net Logo Canvas
    2. Overview (optional reading)
The logo canvas is composed of several sections:
    1. Information Header
    2. Main Display Area
    3. Flat Color Display Area
    4. Black & White Display Area
    5. Color Boxes
Information Header - This is the header at the top of the canvas. It's used mainly to display three things: the name of the client/organization requesting the design, the forum username of the designer, and the version number for the design being submitted.

Main Display Area - This is the large blank section on the left side of the canvas. It's used to hold one or two color-variations of a single design. The design placed here should be presented in full color, with all effects (if any) intact.

Flat Color Display Area - This is the small blank section on the top right of the canvas. It's used to display a flat (non-gradient) version of the design contained in the main display area.

Black & White Display Area - This is the other small blank section on the right side of the canvas. It's used to display a black & white version of the design found in the flat color display area.

Color Boxes - These are the small boxes on the lower-right of the canvas. They're there to display the colors being used in the design; not the gradients, just the colors. If PMS colors are used in the design, then their names should be written next to the colors, in place of PMS 000.
    3. Regulations
    • Every logo must be presented using the DesignContest.net logo canvas
    • Changing the design of the canvas in any way is strictly forbiden
    • Removing text from the header of the canvas is not allowed
    • Designs cannot overlap the edges of the canvas in any way

This may be the old canvas. please find the link to the new canvas here http://www.designcontest.com/forum/d...go-canvas.html

as far as unlead I'm not familiar with it. Is it Vector based? if it's not then I wouldn't use it.
If I have time I'll look up unlead. for now to be on the safe side I'd say not use it.
Be sure and check out all the great designs in the Community Contests!

    Canvas

i am trying to figure out how this template works. I am using Corel Software Essentials 4. Can I just open it in that and fit it to size when entering my logo? Also is vector imaging a file type?
