I just hope admin reviews the 7 designs per contest restrictions .. this isnt working for me.

coz in most instances i might have more than 7 different entries - the idea that i must pick the 7 best just dosnt fit my mind - i think i must have the freedom to submit as many entries so long as am not flooding with variations - today was my first participation and i find this rule pretty annoying

you get 7 entries for each contest. This will not change. You also get another entry each time the contestholder marks your entry I want to see a revision.

entries is plenty to show a contest holder what you can do. We used to ahve a limit of 3 entries so 7 entries is quite a bit more and I don't see it going past 7 at all

Am new here on this site and i havnt seen such a rule on any such similar site as this one or atleast i know not - am just wondering whats the need for such a rule, how does it help both the CH and the designers!?

removing the restrictions seems like a win win for us all - the very first contest i entered while ago i can simply add another 10 different designs, whihc not just offers a better deal for the Ch also my chances to win

The main reason is so a contest isn't flooded with so -so quality designs. A conterst holder can get burried fast with designs that are sub par. So putting a limit is the best way to keep the quality up, it makes you think twice before submitting that entry

I just got a feedback for my first contest - 4 entries eliminated - 3 still there with no feedback - i cant withdraw my entries - nor can i participate - so with 7 entries am done and over out of the contest.

The rule does not seem to make me think twice before submitting ; but makes me think twice about not participating ( hope i dont sound rude )

ok now one of my work is right on top - and now i know waht he wants - i can throw n designs on similar lines - but the irony is i cant submit any designs !!!!

A new entrnt will pick the hint of the top ranked design and start submitting entries ; while i sit and watch doing nothing !!! Please rethink this rule ( atlest for the elite designers and i hope to get there soon )

The entry limit will not be changed.

the contest holder will mark your entry 'I want to see a revision" you then get another entry for that.

I understand that - but i cant submit more fresh designs which i want to ( atleast u can remove this cap for designers who have won certin number of contest ) or let the Ch decide if he likes to see more than 7 designs from any designers or remove these restraiction for those designers who are invited by the CH.

There are other means to ensure quality submissions : as i see it this rule is stifling quality designers from submitting their work and from allowing them to put their best foot forward.

You may keep the rule for new entrants - and remove it for the elite designers - you are being so rigid with the rule - please rethink / re consider

I will say this one last time ...the restrictions are set and will not be changed. You get 7 entries plus an entry every time the contestholder marks I want to see a revision. No exceptions period

You should be thankful for 7 submissions. We use to only get 3. In fact, I think 7 is too many.

Mareingenii, I strongly do not agree that the 'elite' should be entitled to extra submissions. We get enough inequality in our daily lives which doesn't help the world. I agree with the submissions limit. We are ALL still learning as designers and some our our designs aren't as professional as others. You can't start culling the weaker ideas because where would you draw the line? It is also sometimes down to personal opinion as to whether a design works or not. Everybody should be given the same chance.

I'm not suppose to promote the ideas here, but it is fact as it is described above. every one here to comment, suggest even have objection on it. But I'm happy we all are here to share the thoughts views and reviews positively.

An exception to the rule - just when i thought the 7 entry rules was abandoned - and now i see people just flooding with he same entries !!

the only exception to the 7 entry rule is the Honeyville contest. All other contests remain 7 entries only

Lastnight I submitted a 'typo' on the Honeyville contest (Honey*ille). I missed the V out when typing and didn't notice (too tied up with font shapes!). I used the comments thread to politely apologise for the mistake. The comment has been deleted by admin. I thought that the comments box was for explaining our artwork? Should only some of us get that right over others?

Could you please tell me why the comment was removed? I would be happy if you could also remove entry #923.

Hi there

It isn't a matter of rights over another. All you have to do if you make a goof on an entry is post the message in the forums or click the report button and type in what the problem or send a helpdesk ticket in. The comments are used to exaplain the design but you do not need to write comments that you goofed. When you do that it points out your goof to the contestholder and that looks bad for you. The contestholder wants professionalism and that shows in the entries, writing a coment that goofed sends a bad message to the ch so if you do goof just send us a note and we will remove the entry

Sorry for hijacking this thread before, where were we?... ah yes, entry limitations...

I think that 7 is enough as long as the CH knows that they can grant extra lives to us if they like our work!
