Lightbulb T-Shirt Design / Print Process Option

I think that the contest holder should put down in the t-shirt design briefing what print process that there going to go with. Because there is stuff you can and can't do between all the print process out there. And it would help the designers out.

And if there is already a such option in place now it should be mandatory before they can submit the contest. And if there going to go with screen printing they need to know how many colors that they want in there design.

    Hi there

It is a good idea but......... I most often find when I talk with the contestholders they are unsure of the print process they will be using. I make suggestions for the ch to check into about the different print options out there. I also suggest they start a comment to you designers about the print process. I also send the ch information about the different print processes along with the information you as the designer will need to know to create the design they can use in the end. The best thing we can do is educate the contest holder that is unsure or how to choose a print process

I just know that if they want to use there logo on the shirt and there logo has gradients, fades and a lot of colors. Then you normally can't do that with screen printing. So they would have to go with a DTG printing process. But if there logo has only like 2 or 3 colors then it's would be better to do screen printing process.

And also if they wanna have cheaper printing cost then they need to go with screen printing rather then DTG printing. But having that option to choose what you want. And having examples of what each process is and giving the pros and cons of the process. Would probably make it easier for both the designer and the contest holder. And also having the printing process marked would give the designer and place to start.

this is one reason all lof=go designers should provide a flat color version of the logo. This is something that designers can point out in the contest when the contestholder wants logo on tshirt design.

New print processes are out there now that provide outstanding print resuts that also allow designs with all of those effects. Screen printing has changed as well with new print processes.
