Well, I would like to see an actual Logo Design Contest

Not a post your best random logo of made up company thing, but that you make up a company with details on what they do and their name, then people create a logo for said company... just be creative with the company name and what they do to get some good designs.

Please make it a said company or else how can you judge? Everybody will just have totally different logos about different companies...

The auto industry could use a new player to shake things up. How about we each make up our own car company name and logo/insignia?

Voting is next year! 2008 (USA). How about a contest of a banner or something with the scope to encourage people to go to vote.(Once I had this as homework in HS ... lol)

Another excellent idea.... but in my short time here I've realized that we have a fairly multi-national group of designers, I don't think the USA election will translate into an interesting idea for everyone, but it could also provide an opportunity for some political satire...for better or for worse.

idea 1 -

i seen mt dew's site and they have a contest that has to do with creating a mt dew (20oz.) bottle design - the art on the outside of the bottle - i think it would be a fun thing to do! - or something of the sort

i 2nd the create a car company and logo/insignia

i havnt seen a "background" contest yet either - that would be a nice one and fun one to do - the winner could be based upon the most creative idea

Create a Transformer!! i love that show and got tickets allready for the movie! lol - that would be a fun and quite interesting contest - 2d 3d sketch - whatever - it would be awsome

and my last idea is:

something about the 4th of JULY! since its exactly 7 days away!

well anycontest would be good - as long as its not 2 months away or so like the last one - even if the only prize is to be added to the design team with 3 community contest wins.

i like this site but the community contests are taking forever nowadays even with a million ideas.

1. Sketches for fashion clothing for autumn 07. Extravagant ideas rule.
2. "How do you see the world in 20 years" - weather for example.
3. I like the idea for logo design.

we did a snowboard for winter -- how about a Skatedboard design for Summer?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe create our own calogne/perfume bottle and design - even incorperate a custom 1-off logo onto it!!!

How about a contest where everyone has to use the same design elements (ie..2 red circles , 3 brown squares, whatever) and we see who can use them to make the best design. whether that be a logo or whatever.

I think a themed contest would be good.

Today news there are allot of things happening.

- like global warming (something against global warming, logo, illustration, poster or website)
- ABN Amro bank fusion( contest new bank logo)
- Windows 7 in 2010 ( new windows logo or screen layout design)
- new logo for new upcoming movies or posters.
- logo design for champions ( like who wins f1,motogp,tour de france. A personal logo for them.
