    For me it depends on how clear the idea is there already inside my skull .. But most of the times I get a rough sketch done with paper and pencil/pen.. scrapping my ideas on the paper lets me rethink them and get them modified easily.. if needed. I think it is the most easier and 'cost-effective' way to do so..

    Usually I'll sketch it out on paper first but if it's fairly clear in my head i'll go directly to illustrator. I guess it depends on the project.

    I think starting with a pencil to put your idee on paper is the best way to start
