Which one you prefer CS3,CS4, or CS5?

    I used CS3 Illustrator,Photoshops about 2years before CS4 came
Currently, I using CS4 since last year.
CS4 guide line is awesome. but, still I like CS3 better.
just I feel more comfortable CS3 than CS4

and I never used CS5 yet.

I guess CS5 is more heavy program than the others. right?

I am still using Illustrator CS2 still comfortable with it and also still have allot of plugins installed for packaging and special cuts.

I can still out preform most people using newer version cause I know all the features of the program. Some programs had to upgrade to cs4 cause of compatible reasons people rather not save as an older version or forget to.

But I heard that CS5 is a refinement of the previous version of cs3 and cs4. But now I'm still using cs3.

I heard there is some feature that are missing or hidden in the newer versions of photoshop, but somehow I have always found to achieve the same outcome just using different tools.

I have cs3 and cs4. My new machine is the cs4. I like cs3 better but mostly because I have used cs3 longer. Cs4 seems awkward to me, I would guess time will take care of that though

I wished cs3/4 had perspective tools like photoshop. I use the perspective all the time in photoshop with photos. I use the perspective for all sorts of things. in photography landscape images can tend to have a natural curve with horizon so perspective option is a great tool for that. many times with my character design I do in photoshop the perspective tool is great but again in illustrator cs3/4 it isn't so great to use and I end up adjusting each anchor point

With illustrator the free transform is ok but doesn't seem to give you full controll

i dont think you have seen the correct perspective tool that I have meant. Visit adobe illustrator site and check the new features and look at perspective too.

That is what I wished cs3 and 4 had. I would have a ball with the perspective tool. I just can't buy cs5 right now maybe next yr who knows

And I would use the perspective tool for more than building for sure although I would use it a lot for building also. I do quite a bit of photo to vector buildings for clients. Some of the photos of buildings sent to me have horrid perspectives. I have a few clients that buy up properties, fix them up and they need an image to show the money people what the property could look like so I draw out a fixed up cleaned up version of the property in illustrator, that is why I would love to have that perspective tool

Try using freeform tool and hold a point press in ctrl then you can do perspective tool like photoshop. Just something not much explained at most schools there this feature exist same goes for mask tools the school forgot to teach the students.

I was using CS3 for the longest time and my company partner finally convinced me to upgrade to CS5. So glad I did, I love being one step ahead of other small business!

I am 100% in love with CS5. I use Photoshop a lot in my paintings, and I just love what they added, especially the content aware tool.

Adobe really is learning how to make its CS user friendly which is always nice.

I've never tested the CS5, but I think that any evolution brings a whole lot of things better an a little few ones that sucks. So probably CS5 is better than CS4.
