Your second design is interesting, but I am afraid it would not adapt to the layouts where both sidebars are together. Would you revisit your original design and add a header and footer?

Thanks for your latest entries. I think we are getting closer, but there is something missing ... I don't feel that "generic" has to be bland. While the template needs to be suitable for a wide variety of businesses, it still needs to have a little bit of "WOW factor" - the template needs to be the frame that complements and shows off the "painting" (the products).

FYI: In this design, the little colored squares in the upper-left corner might by used as "TINT" selectors! making the whole template aspect be customizable as the user likes it better.

Designers,

The contest has expired and we will not be extending it. Please accept our thanks, but the designs entered are not what we wanted.

No offense intended, but they all look old school and really have no spark.

We had hoped to get a much larger selection to work with and are very disappointed we did not get very many entries.

More disappointing is the lack of professionalism with the board management and complete lack of communication from the management regarding our refund request. We will not recommend this venue to others looking for design work.

I feel there were alot of areas that if you would of provided adiquate feedback on submitted designs you would have had a better out come.

I'm not going to point fingers on why this contest wasn't successfull but the designers can only be as good as the feedback is or the direction they are given.

I was just going to say the same, I agree with coy, feedback helps the designers to reach the design that the client wanted, and there's a lack of feedback here. you can check the previous successful contests to know what I mean

The design asked for the CH wasn't easy to figure out in the begining, and it wasn't easier then without proper CH feedback.
I, personally, would have liked to post more entries but ... being sincere, this contest wasn't motivating enough.
Excuse me if I'm too sincere about this. Just showing my thoughts.
