Red face 2 sites in design phase

I am building these 2 sites and am wondering if I can get some feedback. Right now, at this point and phase, the clients are very pleased with how it is coming along. In fact, I am basically following their input and using their content. All graphics are also done by me, flash, and images.

    Thanx!

Ok, I see that in IE.(grrrrrrrrrrr...) I forget to check IE sometimes (maybe cuz I hate it so much) When I work in Dreamweaver doing HTML sites, I always check both browsers, but when I work In CMS(Joomla), I have a bad habit of forgetting to check that...

Here is a screenshot of it in FireFox. As you can see....Dang! what a difference. Thank you for ratteling me; guess I needed that "wake up reminder"...thanx!!

Anytime. I tend to look on IE and Opera, Firefox and even on my Mac I look on Safari. That takes care of most browsers out there.

I understand what you mean because if in Firefox it looks good sometimes I have gone to IE and the great template had a big space in wierd spots.
I like your work. Look forward to seeing more.

Yeah, IE can do that sometimes. Actually most of the time...

When I design sites, I always make a separate .css file for IE, which has some different elements from the main .css file.

The sites look good. I only have one suggestion: the title where it says "welcome" on this page: http://www.kshdzines.com/index.php can be made bigger, as it's too similar in size with the "Home" text. And I have one question: why is the "home" text there anyway ? I think it's clear that that is the home page from the menu link. Hope that helped...

Yea...I don't like that too much either, and I am sure there must be a way to "hide" it. If you notice, it's like that on all the pages; all link titles are at the top of it's corresponding page ( Joomla thing, or template). I have only been working with Joomla for about a year and there is still allot I don't now about it. I can't wait for the day when "I know it all"... I really love working with their templates and they do try to make things easy, but sometimes I throw my hands up frustrated and say "****"..

    Thanks for feedback!

I don't know if you're familiar with lynda.com, but they recently released a video tutorial series on Joomla! . Check that out, maybe you'll find something useful, that will help you in your web design work.
