what is that yellow thing suppose to be? I can't remember eating anything like that, at least not with those fish scales ={
I also don't see the point in making the apple and the fishy yellow thing laughing their as@# off... =p
The colors and type fonts are really good, I would sugest you just to chance the happy food a little bit![]()
I think it is a peanut. I think the text need to be bit rounder or try out ofter fonts.

Nice Piece, nothing seems to bother me at the moment too entirely much.
why don't you try some other brighter and happier colors instead of the dark purple? It looks serious and dull to me. Hope it helps. Is that yellowish thing a peanut or what?
I knew it was a peanut when I first saw it; changing the color might help others though.Nice illustrative style to your design.
I really like the logo but the kerning between the letters in VEGAS seems off to me. I think it's just the font. The spaces before and after the EGA make the letters look disconnected from the V & S. Does that bother anyone else?

The purple looks rich and bright to me too...
Happy peanut now really looks like a happy peanut! New color helped a lot!
Kerning in "FRUITS & NUTS" looks too tight, it's kinda difficult to read, but maybe it's just me... kerning looks OK on the "Vegas".
And I like the font, just not sure you need those lights and shadows on the "Vegas"...
By the way, nice drawing style![]()
i love it i would try to put like the vegas theme buti love it like that its eye catching
I think the kerning is fine - not too tight at all. I'd actually kern it a little tighter between the R & the U in fruit...there seems to be a gap to me. Have you looked at a softer font - something like Helvetica Round? I'd just be curious to see how it looks.
My only real complaint would be the leaf on the apple. I usually see the leaf more at the base of the stem (coming out of the apple) like this:

also - haven't I seen you around TF?
I love it...the peanut guy makes me not think of a peanut at first, but I get it initially when I look at it without thinking too hard on it.
I really like the cartoon fellows! my first impression of this was that the font should reflect the the laughing peanut and apple a little more. perhaps a more cartoon like font? Mind it may be too much you the client may not appreciate his logo looking like something out of a child's book. I also agree that the purple doesn't seem to pop. Overall a strong design though very eye catching and fun.
This is an interesting discussion. thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for the post. It's really useful.

I like a lot the over all design but I have a problem most with the VEGAS part, I don't know it looks like is not centered ore something.
But I love the Design!!!
I think the peanut looks peanut-y enough :P I get the idea since it says "fruits & nuts" in the logo.
I agree that purple seems too dark. I know it's a royal/rich color, but when I think of fresh produce, I think greens and reds.
As far as the font goes, I think the colors and shading are perfect, but I'm not crazy about the serif font. I envision a more fluid, organic-looking font.
All in all, I think it's a great start and I love the expressions of the apple and peanut! Good job!
