I like the colors but I wouldn't have guessed the logo was for audio editing software. The sound waves are a little confusing to me. I prefer the flat design over the 3D design as well. Maybe make the 3D rendering softer/rounder, with no sharp edges/corners?

I agree, I think you need to look at other possibilities/ways of showing that it has to do with sound. Look at frequency waves, or use some type of imagery to do with audio editing process...

Also i like the idea of 3d...but why not actually try making it 3d with a 3d program or make it out of vector shapes, not use the illustrator 3d creator.

As for placement of the sound waves, or anything for that matter, keep it on the left or the right and make it try and play off the R or the H.

Hopes this helps :)

I agree w/ what FMD said. using illustrator vectors is the way to go for logos. I do kind of understand the sound waves except for the pointed parts in the lower 2... If i was you I'd put them horizontal and incorporate them better. colors are nice too :)

Hi Bernadette,
It's actually a pretty nice looking logo but without a full overview of who the client is it's tough to give a complete critique. It looks to me like the company is somewhere where surfing is prominent. That's the connotation I get from the bottom two shapes. I hope that's what you're going for. Otherwise the others are correct, they don't make sense having the extra "fins".

You might try moving the shapes below and offset right to make it look like the sound waves are coming from the HSR. I like the 3d look but I think the middle shape is too thick. It looks to be sitting right on top of the bottom shape. Either thin it out or move it back behind the bottom shape. In fact, I think moving it behind will give it more of a sound wave feel coming at you. I hope this helps.

I am up for voting into the design team. If you think my reply was helpful please go to http://www.designcon...your-votes.html and vote.
Thank you!
