I like the afro on the B...but the typography is kindof blaaa...You need to add like pizazz and flash to it
For starters—I think the concept of your made up hair salon might be offensive to some.
Regarding the design—I like the colors but the font looks too techy to me. It also looks like you distorted the font and stretched the words Hair Salon instead of using an extended font. Have you tried any other concepts/designs?
I agree with the above comments - I feel like the font choice and change is awkward. The idea that "AFR" is black and the "O" is orange I find uncomfortable (same with HAIR as well) I am looking for there to be a reason for it.
Check the stretch of your Hair Salon text - as well as the kerning all around.
I'd love to see more revisions,
Hi...the color, font do not say 'hairsalon' to me, sorry.........I'd do as suggested, work on font, color combos. And as the above said, the name could be offensive to some, so I'd rethink a bit
(the hair salon text looks squished)
I realize it might be offensive, I didn't mean for it to be offensive though. Are there any recommendations for fonts, color combos, or a different name?
Make your own font...that would be creative
I did that once called it Cocaine..but I had to change the name because my teacher thought it was offensive. I called it cocaine because in my psych class our drug to present was cocaine and I made these trippy letters haha
Think about your target audience too while thinking of a name
Like for a young audience, make the name corky and the logo flashy
for older, maybe something straight foward like "Technique Salon" and maybe not so flashy and strange haha

agree.
For font suggestions, I'd think about something less blocky - it makes it feel really heavy, which doesn't seem like the feel you'd want for a salon. If you're sticking with the name/graphic, maybe use something that would complement the style (but nothing too cheesy).
This may be a stretch, but what if I made it like 60's hair salon or something, and had like a groovy like font. Would that work?
OK, this might be kind of cheesy, but here it is. I dont know if it's to dull, I tried to accent it with light green, but it didn't work, so I just used silver.

Question - what would you think, if you were driving down the street and saw a Hair salon called '60s Hair' as the name of the salon? It's 40 years later - and a huge part of your audience was not even alive in the 60s to relate to the time period. I think a name and logo needs to reflect and connect with your audience. -- is this just a 'mock up' idea or are you trying to design for a real hair salon?
Just a mock up. I know it's weird, I just came up with it because afros were popular in the 60's.
Maybe something like "Vintage Cutz" or "Retro Chic" Salon...or something
