so it's mor like alot of lines, then completed segments? How do you color it? in photoshop- or just leaving it black&white.

yeah - it's abut 97% linework - the larger fills are objects. I usually work one color at a time (since most of the stuff I do is eventually screen printed) After I get the linework finalized, I save a copy as is ("live"). Then I convert all of my lines to shapes and merge those shapes to make one big shape. I usually do each of the colors on separate layers in Illustrator.

I worked on it some more and finished up the primary linework. I'm planning on filling in the gaps with solid color and then adding some more linework as a halftone - so it's shadowed.

or not. we'll see what happens.

    That look great..
Thanks for answering the question. This opens up alot of my other drawings now. Since alot of drawings are open lines w/ no real start or finish (like a shape would be) I've found it difficult to transfer some of those same looks to illustrator. also seeing the start and (mostly) finished work.

This would be very nice to add realistic coloring in photoshop. But 2D vector is STUNNING indeed.

hey guys - I've been absent for quite some time...hopefully I'll be around more. I did get some time to finish up the art on this one, though. Now I just need to do the colorfill work, but that ususally goes pretty quick!

the resizing makes it look a little fuzzy - it's actually very sharp.

yep - I've been using a tablet only for the last 11 years - can't go back to a mouse!

Here's the finished - 4 spot colors. I'll probably go back later and do a color version, but I decided on this monotone gray image for now.

First of all, I'd like to say that looks absolutely amazing. One thing I noticed however that some parts of the piece seem to be pillow-shaded and don't actually look natural to the lighting. One example I can point out is the dude just to the upper left of the VERY bottom dead guy.

It still looks awesome though. Keep up the amazing work!
