    My portfolio V.2.0

    Hello All =)

I guess I felt bored about my Portfolio and went forward to make a new one. I Also Set a Slogan "A Promising designs for all taste"

    Advice is much appreciated it.

Stage One (Slicing the design and create the FrontPage)

    Amr,

Real nice start, I like the colors gives me a Microsoft feel though, if that is want you were trying to capture, you did great. I am presuming that this is just the shell since there were no samples that I could see, in any of the three categories. The navigation is easy to follow and overall the site looks good, now once you put up some of your great work it should ROCK! One observation, are you going to do any thing in the top left and right third, when I look at it in Firefox it looks transparent and gives me the feeling that something is missing.

    Hello, Dixie@

How are you doing so far? I believe you're doing so much good =) However..
I w'd like to thank you for your professional feedback, You did mentioned what i wanted to hear by Colors Schema, Its really hard to combine Blue Red and Green with a Blue Background, With your feedback i believe I passed

However its Stage 1, Means No other subindex pages yet, I have idea's Like having the white container that Holds my specialist Sliding to the right whenever I click any Samples, and controlling the samples image with an ajax popup "Light-box JS" That would fit the Layout overall without Scrolling to far.

If you can see the Transparent Background on the Top left and the 3rd Right that probebly because you have set a high Screen Resolution, Try to set it to 1024 by 868 That fits the 14"-15" inch Laptop Screen.

However I'm still thinking for the rest....

    Regards,
    -Amr

    Hello!

I like it, it has a good professional look, thanks to the nice blue colors. The content seems focused, the visitor gets the most important information about your work right on the first page. I like the buttons too, but maybe I would make the content above it clickable too (like the "web design" image - just point it to the same URL as the button).

As for the look, maybe instead of the blue background, I would try a vertical gradient, with the same blue on the top, turning into white at the bottom.

    Nice job

    Yodah,

Thanks Man for your Honest Feedback, I Assume when you were talking about the background, you want the vice versa of the current one, like instead of the white on the top, to be replaced with blue, and the white color goes down, but I;m Tied up with the blue banner and the white container box, i want to focus for the main layout so i gave a background a different color than the layer on the front to the back take white for the banner, and the content background took blue for the white container.

    Thanks again for your feedback..

No, with the blue background I meant the uniform blue just behind the white content area, without the banner. If you change that blue background to a gradient, using the same blue and white as the two ending points (the blue on top of course), then it will have a much smoother effect on higher resolutions (for me it's too much blue in this state).

I like the feel of the site, but a few misconceptions happen when navigating...

Your titles of the sections strikingly resemble the buttons to actually view the work, I would work on giving your buttons a distinctive look rather than so close to inactive items.

One thing that I am majorly having issues with is the slogan itself. "A Promising designs for all taste" seems that it should be simply "A Promising design for all tastes" - rather having design be singular and taste be plural. Just my opinion, but it does not read correctly in its current state.

Appreciate your conecrn and feedback, you guys really inspired me of something totally new xD

@cclark413: you have a good point on "A Promising design for all tastes" I might change that when i finish rolling up the work xD

BTW: The wood feels is a Photoshop Texture, You can find it in Photoshop application texture use it on your projects if you love it xD

So tell me how is the New layout going so far Homepage are done, and web design section only yet its thumbnail no big pictures yet, Others are still inactive

    Ok, here is my opinion.
You are a graphic desginer, so, you need to place all your work to dressup your page.
Maybe if you use a more clean layout, show some works on the home page and focus on your works more graphicaly.
Your are selling designs, show some on the home page, dont hide your work. You are very good, no need to be shie about it.
The best way to do a portfolio is to create a simple layout that gives all the importance to the portfolio work.
Other than that, i like your website.
My observation is more on the conceptual side of a portfolio
    I hope it helps
    Regards
    Pablo

It's a nice start so far.

However, I personally am not feeling the wood pattern for your boxes because I feel that there's just too much going on. You have a striped background after all. Plus you're using glass for the top where it says "a promising design for all tastes" and then you're using shadows for "view samples" buttons (I can see how and why it works for that particular area) and then the button to your email pops out. I guess the issue with me is that I want a bit more consistency and balance.

Another issue I have is that I notice "Web & Graphic Designer" before your name. And during that moment, it left me looking for your name.

Sorry, maybe it's just because I'm a constructivist-minimalist and the fact that I'm a very picky person.

I agree with cly i like the design but feel that it has allot of distractions for the eye. Maybe try a flat colour for the background, or a more subtle patern
