I like headers with logo and slogans on one side so you can add interesting graphics on other side.

The text seems to be too small for this header. I agree that images can be added but I would still make the text larger. Add more interest to the header with images or some fun typography.

It looks nice though. The colors and font choices are nice.

Since your font has a deep shadow behind it, I find that it's unnecessary for you to have that blue, gradient-vector background. Keep it simple and consistent, and by that I mean that the font gradient for the "general discussion forum" should be removed. Plus it's too heavy since the size is smaller.

I think that the font for "OFF THE WALL" should be bigger. I'm not sure if you need to add graphics to it, though.

I would try to make the font come out of the wall more. More 3D work.

Good suggestion — that will add a lot of character and strengthen the concept.

Really like bauhaus fonts. Nice choice. You could remove the gradient or whatever is the effect you used in the small text, and try pushing the lettering to the right.

I agree with making your font size larger. If you want something to really take up some space, put it on one line with an obvious hierarchy so it won't read all at the same importance. Also, currently having a deep shadow on "Off The Wall" is fine, however, the shadow depletes the kerning between your smaller tag line and makes it difficult to read.

Okay, that sounded like a wallpaper Background (windows Xp), Also it gives me an impression of an advertising Banner, you really don't wanna make this as your website header.

My Suggetion
------------

1: Try to use Gradient colors for the banner incase you want to increse the width of ur banner,

2: I Believe this is a Photoshop work, The Tagline/Slogan effects is familer try to lose the bevel and give the shadow angle: "90 degree" or "71" Distance:"6px" and Spread 1% with 5px size.

3: The slogan/tagline, can be above the logo or on the right of your logo.

right now the header looks kinda empty try to use bigger, bolder font if its possible.. if you need to stick to this font than just resize it.. and the blue color is too 'cold' in my opinion

My suggestions,
- Font size should be bigger (at least "OFF THE WALL")
- Lower sign is too messy to read because of gradient
- Try to change black shadow with some other color, for sign to pop-up little bit
