I'm doing this flyer for a church group. Let me know what you think about the layout or any other advice you want to give.

Hi Aleph,
There are a few things in this flyer that I would not do
for instance the reflection of the people and the blue gradient (left to right). IN general I would make it cleaner ...reduced and minimalistic, because now I don't get the church-holy-bible feeling that the flyer should be expressing. I would also reduce the number of fonts and colors used ...
Regards,
Stefan V.
Thanks for your comments I'll make the necessary changes![]()

i like the bottom red bar, but the logo and the text needs some more balanced spacing. For exapmple, the right part of the word crusade is to close to the edge.
The part saying "venue", the text passing trough the mans hand.
Give your text plenty of room, you dont need to fill it up. Less is more.
Also the expression on the faces of the top four people, they don't seem really happy. Are you sure they are portraying the feel you want with this poster?
also look at the weighting of all the elements. At the moment they all compete with each other.
One thing should be the main focus - either the headline or the image, whatever tells the story at a glance and will provoke the most interest.
Also, font wise try and keep it to two if possible a headline/sub head font and a font for your body copy.
I'd really like to see where you take this![]()
Thanks for the detailed feedback will make the suggested changes. Thanks again

I get that it's a tent crusade - but the overly emotional people collaged/cropped in front of the tents make it seem insincere - almost like a "Come see these people freak out" type of thing. Your color palette is a bit all over the place - I'd go with a monochromatic or analogous scheme. I think the current palette is pushing the "circus" feel.
As for the type - the headline font feels dated. I'd stick with either a traditional serif or the san serif that you used for the other information.
I don't know - overall...it just feels like things are stuck in random spots. The drop shadows/bevel-emboss/glows are a little out of control and the gradients are used kinda randomly. Maybe just startover and try and use standard shapes to contain your images?
am i missing the picture here?
im missing the picture as well. lol
