Personal Logo: opinions and various Feedback is Welcome!!!

    Hello designers.
I'm working on my personal Logo... But now I've reached a DeadEnd.
So... All you tips, opinions and various critics are more than helpfull.
I'm not sure were I'm going anymore...and even not sure if I like more the 3d version or the basic 2d version.

    Thank to all of you.

    Hey Paperbot,

My first impression is that it is extremely busy. I don't believe you should necessarily have the name twice for one.

Try simplifying it and giving it more contrast. Right now there is no visual direction, and it seems everything is getting lost.

Another thing is the "icon to name" scale. It seems that the icon is rather large. Try balancing that out as well.

    Regards.

    Thanks 4 your opinion.

My first intention was a sort of "Bauhaus" style logo... Minimal, with some lines that shows the little (kind of)Robot.
But... I guess there is a lot of work to do.
I Completely agree for the name shown twice.
    Let's try out some changes...

    Thanks again.

    Thank you Morabira.
Right now I'm working on a "Revision" and I hope it will look better than my first one.
Once ready I'll ask again for all your (new) opinions.

    Have a nice day

Rather than just trying to imitate the look of the bauhaus designers, consider what their goals actual are. Your logo should be an identifier. Right now, you've got SO many different elements going on that it's hard to see what "the point" is. It's one thing to make something look good, it's a completely other animal to also make it work well.

Superfluous lines make me think that maybe you should consider the concept a little more...as if you kinda had a hazy idea of what you wanted and tried to fill in the gaps with some random lines. I also agree on the icon / name scale being off - PAPERBOT is tiny, so it makes it seem like a tagline. The green dot for the O also seems like a last minute addition - it's become it's own focus, yet it doesn't have much meaning.

What if you integrated the name into the design - so the icon and the name actually mean the same thing? You maximize your branding potential that way because you can take pieces of the logo and still have it recognized as your brand.

Best advice I can give you is to simplify. Often times we overthink ourselves to a dead end. Personally, I would clear the name off the icon. Keep only the bot inside the shape. And explore the negative/positive space within the squared shape when placing your bot. Once you're happy with the result, remember to give your text the same attention to detail and you'll have something really cool. Best of luck!!
