Project description

The following is a new brief. We have extended to gather more candidates and welcome your creativity. Thanks. The San Antonio Tennis Association, founded in 1946, is currently in the process of a re-branding the organization through a new initiatives, possibly a new logo, and a new website. We would like to see designs that incorporate the sport of tennis with the city of San Antonio (i.e. the Riverwalk, the Alamo, the skyline, Fiesta, etc.) We are open to all creative designs and colors that will catch the public's eye and be a great new start for our association. We are also considering using the slogan "Come and Play It" We want this design to look modern and professional, but still accessible and relatable to our member organization made up of men and women of all ages. Tennis is fun after all!

      |--| I chose the standard wide banner as if that be the only item at the top. We are happy to take narrower banners. Not sure yet if we will have a narrow banner leaving room on each side for text or simply overwrite text over the banner with Gimp or Photoshop. My current banner on another website I have is 952x287 and is a slideshow. We put text above this banner as you can see on www.missiongolfcars.com Did I ask for a banner wider than this? Not sure this is too wide - help me understand. Thanks

      |--| Let's try this. Have a tennis ball coming up to the foreground from either a skyline view of San Antonio or the San Antonio Riverwalk. There is the swoosh showing the path of a tennis ball which is in the foreground. No people at all. On the tennis ball is one of two texts: SATA ; or Come and Play It

      |--| Not sure if we will have text over the banner - ie our logo, English/Spanish language button, Contact Us can be above the banner. Undecided on this

  • Dear CH, here it is - first entry on you contest #1 :) please check and let me know do you like it, or if I miss the subject :) all the best

      |--| Not bad. Is the skyline really San Antonio? San Antonio has only a handful of recognizable entities - Hemisphere Tower, the Alamodome, the Alamo and the River Walk (not a building, of course) I am looking for one of these so I can recognize the skyline to be San Antonio

    • :) I am not sure - google found that as San Antonio - I never been there so I dont know. But I will try to found buildings you mentioned.

    • You may be right. I just can't see the skyline image well enough. If I could see a larger image of the skyline, I could better determine if it is San Antonio. Thx

      |--| You are right, sir. It is San Antonio. We would want to see the far right side since it contains some very recognizable landmarks, however. I would like to see it a little taller. Thanks

    • Hello, do you mean taller banner or taller picture of san antonio? :) p.s. and I am girl :)

    • |--|

      |--| Sorry, maam. Just overall a taller banner if possible. If, however, you make the picture taller, I would assume the entire banner would be taller as well. Sorry if I am confusing you. Good work.

    • Hi there, please check #4 this new size of banner 728x120px and let me know do you like this size better. my best

      |--| Much better, maam. However, the board chmn is not in favor since we appeal to juniors, men and women and with only a woman player, it seem slanted toward women.

  • Hello CH, About #8 I made two versions. Effect of the ball in the foreground increases the effect of speed. Banners can be exported in .png format in order to keep the effect of the ball. Best regards!

      |--| So the ball is moving in the png version? Would this work on the smart phone as well?

    • Hello CH, You can fix this if you wish, in gif format, which is a format supported by all browsers. For smartphone should do another dimension and can be also optimized. BEst regards!

    • About #32, #27, #25, #16, #17, #18. I made several versions of static banners. In several colors and silhouettes of players. I think the banner is open to all and must be able to give a good mood. If you want to spin it can be done without problems. And also I can make series for mobile (long and square banner). Here I made a banner in gif format. Click on the link below: http://eartist.ro/foto-bannere/banner1/ Best regards!

      |--| static or animated either is fine. No flash to be used. Blue or Green is our favorite candidate for the key color.

  • Hi, Please find my idea for your banner at #14. I added (I think) your logo on the tennis ball and a tagline. The images are from Photodune and Dreamstime. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks. stubie2

      |--| I like these as well and there are so many to choose from. The technology committee, however, will be reviewing the entries this week and make a decision possibly. Thanks for your entry.

    • I like them. It is up to the committee to see if any of the entries is what they are looking for

      |--| You are the winner, Mabding. What formats will we receive? Will we be able to make minor changes ourselves such as color if we know what we are doing? I may have one or two very minor changes we would like you to make.

  • Here I made a banner in gif format. Click on the link below and please take a look: http://eartist.ro/foto-bannere/banner1/ Best regards!
  • Hi there dear contest holder. The laws say that marketing companies make a mistake when trying to communicate. People are bombarded daily with advertising and the world of the internet is just a banner behind flashy just a return if this stand out. The key to highlight the simplicity goes ... we see logos like Facebook, Google or Nike. Simplicity wins the concept, the memorization of the masses increases. (You may check Marty Neumeyer, about the design and marketing to the corporative world) So that's what i try to communicate here, a simple way, about soft tones, with the message that matters pass on highlight ! About #31 Hope you like the concept, best regards.
  • Hi, I've added entry #26. Thought the grassy patch in front of the Alamo would make a great court. The idea of tennis lovers improvising games could be developed into a campaign with different locations around the city. The images will all be high res in the final version. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks!
    • Thanks, I like it. Our committee will be reviewing all entries this week

  • Entries #37 #38 #39 and #40 have the concept of constant and nonstop action and feature a particle effect as a tennis ball rips through the text and shatters it. It communicates a playful colorful and energetic concept with a blended view of San Antonio skyline that through the energy invites people to want to join in the fun. Entries with colored text feature the River Walk inside the text. Entry #41 takes on a different approach to the particle effects as simply twinkly little lights with a bokeh like effect that keeps the energy going, and also has a glassy like finish to appear as appealing as a piece of candy, so to suggest a "healthier" alternative. Thanks

      |--| So your banner will have movement? Not sure if our committee would like something distracting

    • Oh no, it doesn't have actual movement, it's all still, but has the effect that the tennis ball has crashe on by and flew past the text.

    • Banner #44 Builds upon #38 in a direction that adds more distinction to the words and also more "Energy lines" decorating the background. Lighting is also modified to add a glow on the edge of the ball and a more even tone throughout.

  • All designers, We would no longer want any banners with a person or tennis ball flying through the city skyline. We want something that ties in tennis with the city of San Antonio in a modern, clean, and updated way.
    • Also, we do not want any banners with GIF movement.

  • Hi Ch, Please provide your feedback for #19,#20 and #21. Thanks
  • Won't have any individuals playing tennis
  • Decided not to have a person in the banner since we cater to juniors, ladies, men.
    • Hi, thanks for the feedback. Perhaps it could be an option to show a family playing? I've reached my upload limit now as a newbie but good luck with the design.

    • Probably best for not humans. Seems that a tennis ball, a tennis racquet, a tennis court is best for the image of tennis with another image from the city of San Antonio

  • Not sure what that castle is. Doesn't go with our vision
  • Hi, Please find another entry #43. Any feedback appreciated.:) Thanks.
  • hi ch. sata i have upload design #46, #47, #48, #49 i hope you will like my creativity i am awaiting your valueable comments thanks all the best babar786
  • Good day! I've uploaded 2 variations for the letterhead banner concept. Please see #59 and #60 Thank you for your consideration.
  • Hello Mister, About #55, #56, #57, I have made three improved versions of banners. I tried to make the maximum possible contrast for the items to be clearly perceived. I also made banners for mobile phone system. Best regards!
