Browsers finally support color fonts!

Browsers finally support color fonts!

Browsers have incorporated a new technology to support color fonts!

Adobe introduced a new OpenType-SVG, which displays multiple colors and gradients in single glyphs. OpenType-SVG do not only show text with all graphic qualities, but also makes it editable, indexable and searchable.

Currently, this technology is supported only by Firefox and Microsoft Edge (versions 38th or later), but we hope that all other browsers will soon pick up. The font format is backwards compatible with OpenType, so browsers that do not support it will display such text according to specified styles.
