dear admin,

contest holders could have their right to postpone the deadline if there are still no satisfied artwork appear and give time to designers to correct their mistake but no end the contest rushy without any high quality artwork.

Hi KenyonYi - contest holders can extend contests and often do. A current example is the Amur tiger contest. That was closed for about a month and has now reopened.

Some contest holders extend contests immediately others go away, consider and then extend.

There are sometimes abandoned contests but I think they are often due to an error in the original brief and a need to reconsider direction.

Also if the contest is guaranteed there will be a winner chosen by a community vote. If the contest is not guaranteed then the prize is shared equally between the rated designers.

This is better at DC than many other contest websites.

I hope that answers your concerns :)

GJRDesign is correct

Abadoned contests will always be a problem for all of these type of contest sites. Ch will abandoned a contest for may reasons. Sometimes life gets in the way, sometimes the new business has to be put on hold, sometimes the entries just did not give them what they are looking for so instead of asking for a the refund they leave the contest prize for the designers.

Right now we do not really have a limit on how many times a contestholder can extend the contest and this is something we need to and will discuss at our next meeting

Yes thank you. It's good to limit how many times a CH can extend the contest and for how long. For example, 6 days - 6 days - 5 - 4 - 3. ... For the sake of designers hard work.
