Hello,

I'm having a problem with my Corel x6, every time I try to start the application it stucks for a minute or so on the splash screen and then I get error 1 (Try to restarting your computer and then restarting the program).

Please help me.

Thank you,

The best way is to reinstall the application.
Some time ago I had similar problem caused by full HDD. Then I had to reinstall it, because I weren't able to start it again, without this error.

Another most common problem I have read about is that the Corel windows shell extension is not properly installed and it causes some problems.
Hope this helps.

do this...
ctrl+alt+del > Start Task Manager > Service tab > Services...
on services window go find "Protexis Licensing V2" (32bit machine) or "Protexis Licensing V2 x64" (64bit machine) if service stopped start it and re-run corel, this service must be started first to run any corel apps.
Cheers!
