domvarano i like your post, but I think we are not supposed to scale the shapes...I say this for the small circle you used.

Hey everyone!
This is my first submision. Hope you like it.

It's a person on the edge of a building. He's about to jump :( A milion things go through his head. Should he or shoud't he jump. He's desperate.

I need a quick clarification. Can we use the shapes in the source file + our own additions? Or only the shapes in the source file. And do we need to use all the shapes at least once?

Please see the first post of the contest, the announcement.

double-click, interesting entry. Maybe you can improve it by making us to look it from a wider angle like many buildings and on top of one there would be your desperate one about to jump. I like the colors.

well, this character looks pretty desperate indeed :)
However, this contest requires that you do not change the given shapes. So the elipces for the eyes and the mouth cannot be used.

I would also recommend you to be less illustrative and more abstract. Try to form a compositions with the shapes without giving any obvious images.

hi there everyone seem to be a gr8 contest but i want to just point out something out of the rules

Limitations:
You can:
Change the colors of the shapes/outlines
Fill in the shapes
Change the location of the shapes
Use multiple copies of the shapes

You cannot:
Change the shapes
Scale the shapes

According to this most of the entries are illegal cause SCALE of the shapes have been changed in most of them....or maybe i have taken it in the wrong meaning.
plus i would i like to ask that ROTATING a shape will be considered as changing the shape?
if not then kvasaclimited(nice entry) is clear.
Please look into it.
thanks

Well I'm sure Seawise will be able to anwser. By the way Seawise, the only scaling I have done is the final image so that it wouldn't be wider than 600p. Is this ok?

Different designers are opening it in different raster formats and that causes the different scaling you are visualizing, which indeed a problem wasn't foreseen by me. We'll keep this contest going as it is. When we feel an entry is violating the rules by another reason then the raster, we'll notify the owner. I am trusting the community contest folks will also notify me if I miss some of them. Hope this makes sense.
