1.Take the camera off automatic settings. DLSR and SLR cameras set to the automatic mode select rapid shutter speed and therefore produce dark results.
2.You can maximize the amount of light entering your camera if you adjust the aperture to its widest setting.
3.Open the lens aperture to allow in the light by setting your camera to the lowest f-number
4.Shutter speeds require experimenting. If you are using a DSLR, then you can see the effect immediately by viewing the resulting image. It’s good to start with a shutter speed of ‘1 second’and then increase or decrease it depending on the results.
5. Ambient light plays a main role on how much light is available for exposure. Ambient light is light coming in from your surroundings. You can make use of passing or moving lights such as cars.This could result in interesting shots.
6. Experimenting different things can be fun and can also lead to great results when it comes to night photography, so don’t be afraid to experiment.
