Very slick, maybe someday I will learn how to use flash. Did you use swish for this one?

Maybe some sort of roll over effect on the buttons other than that good job!

Yes i used swish for this one. Everything but the graphics and the little cube.

Do the rollovers really go slow Fred? Thx about the colors too-was hard to come up with some good colors that go well together.

Yeah, very nice, but the cubes take forever to load...

Hmm they do? WOrks fast for me but maybe that is because I have it. I will see if I can somehow speed them up or preload them.

O yeah. I was loading them from another file. So, it doesn't load with the preloader.

I made another version that has the cubes inside the movie itself and not dynamically loaded.

Ok, so I totally do not want to sound like a jackass, so I'll proceed to admitting that: I am a newbie at Flash. I satrted learning Flash this late July, and i recently bought a book on how to make a flash site from head to bottom...

One thing I wonder, is, what actually is Swish? Is it like a Flash emulator, that lets you make effects that Flash cannot?

Oh, and Karl, your Flash templates are great. :) They load fast, and look strong.

Swish is like an easier form of flash. It has some built in effects: I don't use them that much bcecause you can easily tell its a swish site. I use the ones like move, fade in, slide in, slide out. That is pretty much the only preset things I use.
For more info: www.swishzone.com
I wouldn't recommend buying swish v2.0 yet. SwishMax is coming out soon. It has much more capabilities than swish 2.0. It has everything and lots more. The price is not set yet and they are still in beta version(which you can download---not an exportable version). Though, SwishMax is more difficult since it can do a lot more. It even has it's own thing called "swishscript". If you are looking for a very very very simple way to make flash sites, I would recommend swish 2.0. But swishMax won't be too too hard....still has has the bulit in effects and more!

Thanks. I try not to make them too big because I know some people don't want to sit there for 5 minutes waiting for a page to load hehe. :)

Thanks for explaining. :)

However, since I just bought a great book that instructs you on how to make a flash site from head to bottom, I'll just stick to the copy of Flash 5 that I already have. :)

Alright sounds good. I want to buy Flash 5 because it's only like 125 right? And it is easier than flash MX and flash MX is expensive.
