For what it is worth, I like the second set better, the bottom two on the left... However, I would go for more of the diver down look. I really like the look of that type of display and think If you were to try dissolving the flag into one of the bubbles, it may work. Also, Flaming pear makes a filter that floods an image- though I don't condone the use of filters, you could use it as an insipration to create a shimmer/reflection type of effect that will also make your idea pop.

Nice work!!!

Hey guys,

Here are some very quick revisions - I had to put this logo on the backburner because of other projects. I'm still not sure which direction I like, at first I was definitely leaning towards the more realistic look, but I'm finding I like the stylized bubbles. Only thing I'm worried about is that they look a bit too cartoonish, however, it is something the owner of the shop would probably like

I still want to explore more options with fonts, because I feel they're not quite there yet either. But the suggestions on bolder fonts really made a difference, thanks guys!

I really like the top row of designs, esp. the middle one, except that the H font is really rigid. maybe a softer font would work better (cooper springs to mind but that's because i'm on a cooper kick these days.)

as far as "incorporating something more scuba-y" into it... i disagree. bubbles are already scuba enough. they come out of scuba divers. :)

Bubble concepts are ok but it begins to look like an organic product, and diving has many other elemnts to play with.

Hey, I love the top left, exactly what a logo should look like, all elements integrated into one image! Great work

ok so, i honestly like the first one, though i agree that the simple radial gradient needs to be freshened up so its not just a gradient. I like the layout and how the text was placed. Simple and yet Unique. Though, the only thing that seems to get me (not really a big deal, but i just keep thinking that the O for Oxygen has the water/bubble...but hey, Hydrogen technically isnt "water/bubble" w/e... lol its gotta be somewhere! haha...you get what i mean...anyway) I would say for my taste, simple and nice layout. Good job but tweek it a bit. :)

Ill edit as i read...

EDIT: I like the second designs better for a "web logo look"...the only thing i dont really like about logos like this, is that most can't be turned into a "sign" for cheap....if you get what i mean. I agree that scuba needs to be emphasized. I would have to say, maybe a mouth piece from scuba gear can be "water form" and coming out of or/on the bubble? Idk, just a suggestion. :)

GOODLUCK!

Hey everyone, thanks so much for the comments. I've had to put this project on hold due to backed up work at my other job/ and also because my friend just told me they're selling the dive shop! Anyway I'm gonna keep the suggestions and advice in mind and maybe present the designs to the new owners...I'll let ya know what happens. Cheers ;)
