I have been playing and toying with the idea of stripping down the layout - anyone care to give me feedback on this?
It has a simple flash logo but the buttons are just gfx. Anyone like? Still unsure of how to jazz up the front page content tho :(

In a word, "Loose the grid."

The magical bird locked inside the cage wants to get out. IMHO, you've got a great animated logo (ver.1), the blue & eyes are stunning, and your thumbnails definately elude to hidden treasure. Maximize your strengths.
Maybe...stop thinking of it as a website? If you had to build a set of images/pages with the elements you have, but were NOT allowed to use straight lines what would it look like?

It might be a cliche, but in this case it's true. . . The issue is NOT that you need to find the design. The design is already there. It just wants to get out. Think I'm a little OTT? Probably. :)

So, like, try this...
1. Bring up ver.1 of your site on your screen.
2. Click on the "Gallery" button.
3. Get up for your chair and walk backwards about 6 feet.

You do the math. :)
