The shadow is a copy layer of D-BOT in Photo Shop.
I used the overlay color (black)fx and a transform distortion to add perspective

Your design is too coooool! Do you think you could maybe make the top of his helmet metallic too, everything else is except for that. Just a suggestion ;) ,jojomarie

The helmet is metallic too. But there is nothing to reflex on it.

Dragonfly, did you use dodge brushes to create the metallic effect, along with color burn for the reflections? I'm just asking, so I know how to do it if I create something I want to look metallic :)

To make the helmet look more metallic, try dodging it, giving it a reflection where the light would be shining on it, everything else has a reflection of the light except that, thats what makes it look flatter, IMO.

Excellent work :)

Killer model Dragonfly  I also made a robot, althought it may not be as cool as Dragonfly's I think it came out pretty decent.

I think it'll be perfect if you add a reflection-type thing of the visor on the helmet.

I'm not sure of understanding what you mean.
It's a 3D space, the reflections that are shown are the ones that are given by the existing lights. The soft green band under the visor is caused by the spot light above the helmet. To create more reflections I'll have to add more spot lights, but that will create more reflections in other parts too.

Kinda like what you have on his face beneath the visor, the shading, to give the visor depth, except it would be darker on top to blend in with the shading on the hands and legs, and thinner, more of a small reflection of the visor than actual shading.
