I have some questions,
1. When you have a havy flashintro, would it be advisable to have the website also completly in flash, or should you do this in html. (keeping in mind, that some people still have 36kbs) What do YOU prefer?
2. Is there anyone that reads this thread, that can make something like http://www.kmx-designs.de
I mean quality wise. (So the graphics etc.) I don't mean the site itself, allthough is good too:)
Well hope to hear something from you, as I have a "contest" with a prize..
Just show some of your works...
Take care and have a nice day,
Matthias

Nice work and yes I'm interrested. However I want to give other people a chance to show their work aswell. Otherwise it wouldn't be much of a contest:P
Anyway..so far so "really" good;)
Yours,

If I choose you as the winner, you will, "may" be my webmaster on all following projects. (And yes there will be more).
The better (Financial speaking) I get, the better you get.
Q: Is this some kind of commercial talk, trying to make this project cost less than normal?
A: Yes. (But what I said is true)
Q: Whats the site about?
A: I will let you know all details, if I choose you after I've seen some of your work.
Q: ????
A: Yes..? Ask and I'll try to answer.
Q: Why are you posting this?
A: Just for your information.
Have a great day.

I have visited http://www.sharun.net and had a view at the "Our Works" section. What I said before....it really looks proffesional and clean.
The site the intro will be used on, is about a musicartist.(no..not me, the only keyboard I can play is the one, I'm typing on right now:))
btw..il like it, when the people you work with, respond quickly.

Heres a reply to your questions --
1. Flash intros aren't too heavy in size. An entire site in flash could be. Again it depends on your site content. "I" would go for a flash site, its definitely more creative and visually appealing.
2. I read this thread and I'm interested in participating..
I'll post something by tommorow.

If you're using any flash, keep it around. Even just a flash movie for navigational elements can make the site look very professional.
Also, flash file sizes are generally smaller than most HTML/PHP pages. The reason lies in the vector shapes in the flash movie rather than bloated, stagnant bitmaps.
Take for example this SVG code (which is vector based, similar to flash):
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg">
<g style="fill-opacity:0.7; stroke:black; stroke-width:0.1cm;">
<circle cx="6cm" cy="2cm" r="100" style="fill:red;"
transform="translate(0,50)" />
<circle cx="6cm" cy="2cm" r="100" style="fill:blue;"
transform="translate(70,150)" />
<circle cx="6cm" cy="2cm" r="100" style="fill:green;"
transform="translate(-70,150)"/>
</g>
</svg>
That would create these cirlces: http://www.mozilla.o...es/circles2.png
And those few lines of code are far smaller in file size than anything comparable created as a bitmap.
Use flash. Use it often. You can do anything with flash. Anything. Connect to SQL databases, control HTML/PHP elements, execute JavaScript, etc. etc. etc.
I wouldn't mind throwing my hat into the ring of possible developers...but I don't think this is for me. I make flash pages professionally, and I would rather not waste time making a few pages for peanuts.
But best of luck to all, whoever wins.
Michael
Also: EliteProxy, using Flash player 7.0.1.4.0, your "Sound: OFF/ON" buttons do not work in any of your movies. Might want to adjust those a bit so they work properly.

Yes, I can create a similar intro as to what you mentioned in your entry post. However it's important to know that the intro they made is created most likely in 3D Max, using a plug-inn they uploaded the intro and some of the graphic effects into flash.
PS: I am interested in working on what ever project(s) you may have, you have a kean eye for well made sites, Id love to work on a project with you.
peace out.

What I liked about the competitions when I first came here was that they were spelled out in advance. You haven't really given any real terms as far as what you actually want or what you will pay.

The topic was moved from the flash section to this section and I didn't do that.
Secondly..English is not my first language, so yes there could be some spelling errors.
If that bothers you in any way..I'm very sorry.
Its correct, that I didn't give that much details etc. But its my first time here and I didn't know how it worked.
Anyway...I don't know why you nag about spelling errors, the www is not only for Americans.
Enjoy your day.
