Hello-
I am at risk of losing a job if I can't get some programming done. Here's the catch- I can't program. I don't know how. I am doing another real estate site and they want what www.intampaflorida.com has (programming-wise)
I am not a programmer.

PLEASE HELP! Let me know REALISTICALLY what would be involved in doing what they have (I have access to a comma delimited text file of the MLS for Florida but have no clue what to do with it.) I need to hire a programmer.

Future work is a huge possiblility- I don't want to work with a company, I'd prefer to work with an individual. I will be incorporating in Jan. and will also have a fed id- all pay would be legit- unless you want to work as an independent contractor. It's up to you.

Please reply - I am VERY INTERESTED in any information you can offer. Also- what do you do when you run into customers that change their minds after "okaying" an initial concept???

Thanks in advance!
Heather

Sorry, but I can't understand about which programming are you talking...

In http://www.intampaflorida.com I've seen just HTML pages using CSS (also not very well), but no PHP, ASP or other.

There is also a small use of JavaScript.

Can you tell me where have you seen this programming inside the site or if are you refering to CSS????

Ciao Stefano

Yeah... What exactly are you referring to? I don't see a whole lot of dynamic content on that site. It's mostly just HTML; is this what you're needing help with?

If you need PHP scripts, try saying which parts of that page you need done (for instance, homes for sale on the left (which is actually static HTML on their page)).

Thanks,
cai

I am referring to however they're accessing their database- It appears to me that the part on the LH side of the page that says city & how many listings there are is linked to the database. I don't know how or if it really is. Then, as you click through it narrows down the results. I know they don't keep this updated manually b/c the MLS updates about every 2 minutes. :( That would be impossible. I guess my problem is, however they do it, I need a way of using that type of data and formatting it like they do. You can check out what I've done and see if you see any room to improve it at: www.buytampabayhomes.com

Thanks for any help, it's much appreciated
Heather

How exactly do you want the results formatted? Are you using MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or what?

I can help you if you want. My email is cai@caiphp.com, and I'm always on UnderNet.
