Corel is easier to use especially in handling basic shape. But if you need some complex effect and widely accepted file format you must use Illustrator. I use both. I do my sketch using Corel but then convert it to Illustrator for finishing.

Corel is a good for working with proportions, he have a different angle to work with this. Later, you must save project text converted as logo as Ai format to work with Illustrator, because, he is not craizy with pixels. I am experiment this, I hope helpful!!!

Corel is a good program, I can control the proportions of text, objects, with not problems, and save as Ai to work with that, how nice

Hi All,

I our office we use Corel and Adobe, Personally I am a Corel user. When I have to do the same stuff one of our designers does on illustrator, I am probably twice as quick with corel. It always amazes me when I see how many clicks/manipulations they have to do to get something simple done. Saying that, I am sure there's pro's and cons for both packages.

i think Corel is very much user friendly for font selection, color selection, gradient. so its best for logo designing.

In our side, 95% graphic designing work run only on Corel Draw. even in printing press, they ask for corel files only.
but i like to work on both corel as well as AI. both are best at their level.

Why Corel Draw? Much shorter learning curve. :)

Even though, if you need to create something flashy, Illustrator is still a better choice.
