I think everyone has a piece of software or two that they love and use that is out of date or possibly not even available anyone.

My old software:

Winamp 2.8 - I've kept the same exe for several years now. I use the default plain skin. The newer versions just have too much extra stuff in them.
WS_FTP - Up until recently I was using a several-years old version of this.
Dreamweaver - I use v4.0. I've tried the newer versions but they just have too much stuff I don't need. It's perfectly extensible with most configuration being editable via XML files.
Photoshop - I use v7. As with Dreamweaver, I've tried the newer versions but they don't have enough features I can use to justify upgrading yet.

What old software do you use?

Windows Commander - it is a useful file manager and an FTP client.

Wait a minute the new version are great always. Just the matter what you make or do with them.

Old version of deep exploration 2.0 - I use it for texturing 3d models cause when you save the texture in photoshop you can directly view the change. Newer version tends to crash when the files are changed when the program is opened. New version got great functions for cad viewing and export to different 3d files and quick render. Just miss the most important one for texturing without crashing.

3d max 5 - New version got great render plug ins but I can render good picture without them too. And the new version got allot of problems they overlooked. Export models getting double pivot instead of one. And the new software are too heavy for my computer.

Net big v2 - very old game of big 2 poker, its a Chinese poker game that allot of Asians know. There are no update for it for years, I first played it on my pentium 2 system with windows 98. Its a great game and still is. Its totally free and can played alone vs the computer or with IP adress to play online or on the network.

Gp500 1998 - Best ever motorcycling game made cause it can be edited in almost very way. And best and most realistic physics, no new bike racing game have gone close to this physic. I have made texture and models for allot of years to get allot of photoshop skills and 3d max.

In the begining of the 90's there were just MS-DOS and some shitty window$ 3.1. There were no hardisks in some machines and we used just monochrome monitors.

Those were the years...

I had a NEC 33mhz with 8Mb ram and 20MB HD ...it was the bomb!
It was cool playing with the amber, green monitors.
I got started on "Digital " drawing with MS Paint. I used to draw things on a transparent film, tape it on the screen then trace it over on paint... that was some bootlegged scanner... lol.
About two years later I got a handheld scanner but never got it to work, finding drivers back in the day wasn't that easy

Why do you typ that cmd between it, it also works with just:

Win+R->calc
Win+R->mmc
Win+R->notepad
Win+r->control etc.
