up to this moment those were DC's recommendations for our contest holders. We are planning to change the amount and add $50 to each minimum prize amount and $100 to recommended amounts.

Please, let us know what you think about this change!

how do you get contest holders to pay more than the minimun?
what if you recommended 500 for logo design but minimum was still 150
150 for having many logos of all different styles sounds too cheap.
maybe tell the client if they bid a little higher
more people will contribute?

Yep, that's the general idea. Larger prize = greater effort/time spent from each designer. Most of them probably know this already, since it's pretty much just common sense :)

For websites this price only includes the layout template, right?

At this point we are also doing coding and content insertion for that price, though many of our web design contests are "template only, no coding".
You MUST be an Elite Designer to enter the contests. Please go to www.designcontest.net and follow the link that says "Love to Design" to get more information and the requirements for joining. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

logo and identity more than flash? is that normal? I always thought coding a flash site was much harder then creating a logo. Maybe thats just me.

$150 are way to low and, the minimum should be $300 and not the recommended price. I will NEVER design a template for $150

Hi Anne. Those are actually the changing amounts, not the changed. The new prices will take effect later as there is a larger project in the works.

I'm actually very excited with your current pricing. Working as freelance for 30-50 bucks per logo is sometimes not worth the effort of designing and feeling uppon you the client's weird personalities.

Cheers.
