I used to use a desktop at first,at work & at home.. it was good ..
but when my home pc got old & slow i decided to get a laptop, Now i use it for design..and everything, it really came in handy when i was out of town & needed to finish some urgent work!!

my Laptop is Dell inspiron,
Processor : Intel core i7.
8 gb of RAM

Definately a desktop computer fo me. I've recently replaced a G5 iMac the the latest iMac. Laptops obviously have their advantages if you work on-the-go. However, if you work in a studio like myself then I have no need for a laptop.

I am using either laptop or desktop pc in my designing. It matters only on how will I manage in my work.

My answer is "either"
"Designing" solely rely on one's creativity...
Laptops or desktops PCs are just tools....

I use both; they both have pros and cons. Laptop is convenient because you can design on the go, but be sure to carry your charger and a backup hard drive just incase. On my computer at home I find I am more comfortable in my element, I have more power so there is no disturbance as far as charging goes. I also have much more memory in my computer so it functions with more efficiency. It really is all about your needs.
Hope that helps :)
