I am not a big fan of the red background, it takes too much attention away from the content. Also, unless you like default fonts, define one that you like with css. Here's an example:
<style type="text/css" media="all">
<!--
body {
	font-family:verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
}
-->
</style>
Simply pop the code above into the header of all your pages, and you're good to go. Also, your frames present a serious accessibility issue. Maybe you could combine both of the pages together using tables. There is an excellent tutorial here. This isn't really a design issue, but you never said where your company is located.

First of all I thank you for your comments...

Notice I posted two links... One being the old site (the one I think you reviewed) and the other being the site I actualy wanted reviewed LOL. I didnt design http://www.fireflydiscjockey.com (the one with the red background and frames) I designed http://new.cputhings.us to replace the site at fireflydiscjockey.com LOL just a little miss communication.

Also on the NEW site those are not default fonts.

Uhhh...the new site doesn't flow too well...try something like getting rid of the borders on the table and the white background in the content area....it just looks blank. If you're gonna keep it like this, at least move the home table up closer to links

The idea isnt to be impressive its to be functional. Mostly A mobile DJ dosnt get its customers from the web. They send their customers there to check stuff out on them and a way to contact them.

I will certainly take the 'it dosnt flow crit and try and figure out something. I was trying to keep a theme through out the site but I see where your going with it.

To give you an idea of how much the DJ industry dosnt pay attention to their web sites I suggest you look at http://www.adja.org/ and click on find-a-dj and then randomly select a state and a DJ. Do this a couple times. Hey you never know maybe you could start designing sites in that industry and try and sell em.

Adam

THANKS for the critz I will use them.

Adam Wilkinson

Dont ask me I dunno I was just re-designing a site to help out a friend whos site IMO sucked. The information was spread out and all over the place. He said the same thing multiple times in different locations and that red background gave me the iby jibies. Any way I was just trying for functionality considering I suck at Grapics. (Working on getting better)

You can code nice, clean looking sites without being great at graphics. (Of course, much more can be done if you start with a good layout and then slice and code it.) What program do you use...photoshop, paintshop pro, gimp?

Adobe Photoshop 7, Dreamweaver MX, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects 5.5, Adobe Image Ready 7, Fireworks MX

And I am playing around with a couple of no name programs. Just trying to learn what is possible and stuff like that.

That's very true, pure css is the way to go. I only have 3 images on my site.

<----Has no more education fund :wacko:

Trust me I know those programs are very expensive and my pocket book is hurting :(. I wanted to learn something so I put some money into it so I dont plan on backing out now. Any help on learning things would be 100% welcome. (I am also doing some college classes on the subjects but I dunno they dont appeal to me as much as doing it on my own) Also I didnt buy the educational versions so I can sell my work. (if I ever get good enough)

How do people create those cool effects for the headers? I will see if I can find a couple of examples of what I mean.
Best Regards,
Adam Wilkinson
