I think this thread says it all. What was said in the past is in the past, but that does not mean that those things should be forgotten. The way you handled yourself was unprofessional and disrespectful. By your bickering you made the forum actually seem "unprofessional". The true side came out of you as it is now.
After your suspension, you realized how important DesignContest actually really was to you, but did that teach you a lesson, No! You decided to create multiple accounts knowing that your account was suspended. You could have just taken the suspension seriously and came back to DesignContest with a fresh start. If you had taken that road you would not have to be "pleading" your case for "forgiveness." Instead you decided to take the wrong route and try to force your way back in, again seeming very "unprofessional." Your "apology" does not appeal to me, and is clearly in thought of you and only you. The thing that really gets me is a couple minutes after your second account is suspended you decide to create another account. Then you have the nerve to comment on your own design!
http://www.designcon...=lastpost&t=870
It just seems that you are trying too hard. And time after time, you are essentially still disrespecting the admins and users of DesignContest.Nice work freaknlink!!!
.
.
.
Your apology in this case is no apology. It shows that you are desperate and will do anything to get back into DesignContest.
And yet again, you still do not understand. No matter what work you submit, your account was suspended, that is why your second one was.. I have registered under the username freaknlink and posted some designs which I got the same kind of response from the contest holders that I did from ShaneLinkcom. However I again was kicked out. So as you can see I am a reflection of my work and not my words.
I just hope that everyone else in this forum realizes who and how you really are. When Resurepus gets back I'm sure he'll straighten this all out. I personally wouldn't let you back, but thats not my decision, but hey, you asked for my input, you got it:)

Blaming seems to be done way too much, if you dog dies you don't burn your neighbors house down.
You ask someone for forgiveness and turn around not 2 minutes later and do even worse?
That is totally insane!
I am not saying he is untalented, but I would say I would not do business with him. You never know if it is going to be your house he is burning down next.

... to apologize for my behavior on my posts under the username ShaneLinkcom. First of all I did not feel that you copied my work because as you had mentioned there was a certain expectation for that paticular character to begin with. Lets just say that I acted unprofessional due...
If you said it on a PM to me and still thinking the same, (besides the explanation i gave you on the thread Blazen refers to) i cant help you understand it.
And about Einstein picture, i told you that it will bring the best or worst from you. You picked the worst and wrong. And i agree that someone can be recognized by their work, but here that wasnt the point. We were talking about something totally different.
And finally, because theres nothing left after Blazen and Poprocks posts, i just wonder (btw, not that i needed and answer) why u didnt ask for appologizes when you got the chance under your second ID on the forum? Anyway, good luck in your future!

But as the contest holder I also never did anything against you, I didnt create or even know of the Einstien post you were refering to when you sent me the picture.
If it was just a response to the person that did it in their PM then ok maybe, but to an innocent person? And a person that if I didnt get that reaction could have still been cash to you in the future on another project?
Also as a contest holder I like the interaction of the forum, if people can go in a certain direction from what others have said then great, it means a better over-all product. I think the forum is NOT like the "real world" that way, it is more like lets say those new website where "people compete for business". Which makes this better in alot of ways then going to a designer here locally.
I am not sure what the deal was with Einstein but the character I picked looks nothing like him except a white coat.
http://www.run-2.com...aintickler6.htm was the winner with some stuff redone but looks nothing like any that I saw from you shane.

Ruben@Run - First of all the photo post was unneccesary as your probably should agree. I had only made posts that reflected what I felt about how this site operates and I had only at the moment sent Poprocks a PM that was really rude on my part. I had mentioned that I felt I was cheated because I was the only one requested to apply more direction towards my work when you however had a cake walk. Espcially when my work was camera art ready and yours was a simple marker sketch. Trust me I know that I could of put togther some quick thumbnails with pen and ink or marker and never had got the some response that I get, and you know once you take that character to the next stage there as some minor character adjustments that you can not get on that sketch to computer generated artwork. You had mentioned yourself that you do not illustrate that you work with a team of 3. I do all my work from design to web to marketing to well everything in general. I never had anything against you really you just made it out to be that way. So I was a little disgusted when I seen the photo that you posted and the response that you got from others. Its not funny and its not professional at all. So in retaliation I posted a quick photo of my hand. My apologies. In ending, I registered as another user to only prove a point that my work is recognized, and professional along with my manner. So I didn't feel that I wanted to apologize until that point was made. I wish you success in all that you do in your future work. INCREASE THE PEACE!

For those already involved: Don't say something you are going to regret later. Read over your posts before you hit submit, and think about them carefully.

And excuse me, but here we are not talking about me being unprofessional (posting that it wasnt, your answer and later reactions were). Again, was your choice.
Finally, next time you want to prove a point, you just need to read previous threads and you will see how contest hosts recognized your work, my work and others members works.

And about how Poprocks arrived to the conclusion.... well, ask him. And if im or not dedicated to the character, the only one able to answer that is Poprocks. We supposed to just make a deal of only $ 100. I will just tell you that we had make a whole deal with more money on it. And if you want to see how the character goes, that remains property of Poprocks so ask him. Thats the way i work in real life: i not reveal my work or details of it unless permission of my client.
But then again, the main reason why we are talking here is about you and your reaction as ShaneLinkcom, ur ban, ur newly created Freaknlink, also banned and finally you appologizing. Thats all.

The reason I asked for "brain freeze" was to see Imagination, turning him blue didn't work at all. That was the start of the down hill. Again hoped for shivering, teeth chattering, arms crossed etc etc. I was afraid I was only buying him for his "front looking face"
So almost decided against it there.
Then asked for rowing machine....that helped alot, back in the running......but again is this guy ever going to stop looking right at me??? If I wanted him surfing would he always be standing facing front? So thats why I asked about the side view.
At that point the side view honestally scared me. Case closed on that. That did it for me.
Ruben showed umm, 5? 6? different examples of totally different characters in different situations so I knew he could do other things with it. And none had a circle head.
Don't you see how I was worried? Maybe that you couldn't draw a head other then a circle? Or the hands being deformed? These were things in my head, I didnt know you, or what you could do.
I also stated many times sketches are fine, I didn't want to take alot of peoples time if it wasn't going to work.
Any other questions, just ask.
